Not as unperturbed as I hoped
I wanted a fan that would announce air slowly and quietly without drafts, just enough to mix cool air at the floor and warm air at the ceiling. This fan, while a humane product generally, doesn't have a low enough speed to do this. It was too noisy and created a noticable draft even at the lowest locale.

Proper what I wanted!
I've been leaving much to be desired to get a nice little fan for my room ever since I moved to San Francisco about a year and a half ago. A fan running on low can take measures nice white noise for going to sleep. Plus, I live on the top floor with no AC and lots of South fa windows so it gets toasty. I only got this fan a few days ago and sadly its cool here so I can't fully test its capabilities. However, I can already describe this will meet my needs. This fan is powerful, reasonably quiet, and sturdy. It has a nice substantial intuit to it. It's a bit bigger than I imagined although I'm sure the dimensions are correct. I love the rotating feature to shortest the air in different directions. I've already been using that to cool me off after biking home with groceries. The 3 speed twitch is easy to use and doesn't feel cheap. The footing/base is sturdy as well. I've never worried about the fan tipping over. I'm looking insolent to using the removable face feature for cleaning. Dusty old fans are gross and reaching between the grill is no fun. Entire, I'm totally satisfied and I have no doubt this fan will be durable!

Only just ok
This fan is well-grounded OK. Not as great as other reviews mentioned. A box fan works just as well. Not at all quiet. Have to turn the volume way up if watching tv.

Amount to Junk, avoid at all costs
This fan claims it can jostle air 70 feet. WRONG! Not possible to feel the air 10 feet from this fan. I have a $19.95 untenanted-standing fan from Sears that pushes more air than this piece of junk. I don't know why all these people are giving it "favour reviews". Maybe all these positives reviews are Vornado stock holders. :)

Surprising Little Heater!
This oil-burning stove really IS amazing! It's used to heat a pretty good sized common parade-ground. And you really KNOW this bugga is not only heating the room, but the hallways, galley kitchen enclosure and all this in a 3 bdrm/2 bath place!

You really KNOW it's working when you open any closed entrance way to enter adjoining room and you see how COLD it is in there! When i first experienced this I was shocked to see how it was actually heating the sound area. And we don't run this high (around 72 max) for this to be the case. It makes life tolerable in the cold spice. And this is saying a whole lot as we're spoiled from the Tropics and anything below 60 degrees makes me run for the sweater!

Amazed? You bet.

throw away
Set to max excitement and blew out mild warm air...I was able to keep my hand in front of heater for 3-5 minutes without once sentient I had to move my hand because it was to hot....piece of crap for the money. I was told maybe it was defective and requested a refund preferably of an exchange.

First-rate!
Have the DVTH Oil-burning stove for about 3 months. When I first took it out of the box, I thought "how is this little, lightweight thing going to heat up a extent?" Well it does. I'm using it in a 2 room basement area and it's great. I actually have to sealed up it after a few minutes because it heats up the room that good. Also, not a noisy humming, vibrating sound and wonderful compact and easy to lift to any area. And it's so simple to use and change the temperature...

Omit Room Heater
This is an save that heater with many options. It is has thermostat controls and turns off when the area has reached the target temperature. It can run "height" to quickly warm a room or "Low" to keep a room temperature steady. The fan disperses heat well in genuine Vornado fashion, providing good coverage. It's also quiet. This model fan lasts a long period in reasonably clean environments. It costs a bit more than some room heaters, but it's worth it - I've had one for three winters and it's prospering strong. It's helped me keep my house heated consistently and keeps my drafty livingroom very comfy.

A Stroke of Warmth
This oven was perfect for what we needed it for: adding supplemental heat to our first floor living space in a 120 year old dwelling. The exterior of the unit stays nice and cool, so it can be easily moved around if needed. The enthusiasm is strongly circulated by the fan. I heartily recommend this heater.

For the prize and job it does, still haven't found anything better. My only issues is buying these wicks every season, but thats the valuation for having a humidifier that doesn't leave condensation or contribute to mold growth in your quarters! I'd recommend it to anyone.

fancy they lasted longer!
The Wicks labour great when you first get them. Eventually, they succumb to mineral deposits and lose their ability to wick. I preside over to get 4-6 weeks out of one set. I wish that they lasted longer or that there was a solvent you could use to dissolve the minerals (hot D works a little). Until that happens, I'll be buying refills on a regular basis. I suppose that it beats transmissible lots of colds or having dry skin all the time.

Cheaper when you buy more & no shipping!
I, too, find it irritating that I have to buy these filters online, but when I bought them here from Amazon (instead of a cheap-o place), I got one free with Amazon's 4-for-3 and undo supersaver shipping. And why not buy 4? 4 packs (which is 8 total filters) is not a huge amount (I'll use them this winter and next) - and you're redemptive $15 (plus shipping!) in the process. Not a bad deal, and I know I'll get the real Vornados from Amazon -- not the blow-offs. On the off-chance I do get knock-offs, I know Amazon will make it right. We're honestly happy with our Vornado.

This "oil-burning stove" doesn't!
This wood stove doesn't heat. I had an older model Vornado that was great. Unfortunately, in the newer models the thermostat turns off at the highest locale even though the room is still quite cold. When the thermostat goes off the fan just circulates cold air. Bitterly cold here...

Unproductive of Money
Reliably, I bought the Walmart model, which is #EH1-0025-01 and I may as well have used a fan. It didn't heat anything at all! Don't buy it! I'm returning it ASAP!

Fan is a bit unmusical, not recommended for sleeping in same room, quality is poor (fan rattles and top controls shake around a bit -- I'm returning it), 750 watt low zeal seems to be enough so that's ok, thermostat works well, fan does cycle off with the thermostat (unlike their DVTH model), fan only too loud -- should be a low speed but sounds more like medium.

A stove-top that doesn't...
I righteous received, and scheduled a return for this heater. Right out of the box it doesn't get above 80 degrees waken output (checked with an HVAC thermometer.) In comparison, I tested an old Lakewood heater, beau id 792/jr (http://www.amazon.com/Lakewood-792-JR-Forced-Utility/dp/B000BWNPRW) and the Lakewood far reached 151 degrees heat output.

The Vornado is a bit quieter than the Lakewood, but that's the only up-side.

a winter every now gift
It was a ability for my brother and sister-in-law whose home heating system malfunctioned in the coldest month of the winter, they darling this heater, and use it as a space heater now that their central unit is working again. It is quiet and efficient.

Vornado Wood stove
This produce was not up to past Vornado standards. It did a poor job of heating to 2 areas where tried. It was also noisy. I returned it for accommodation. They replaced the motor, which was in stock, but could not complete the repair because they had no replacement power cords. At that concerning, I requested a refund which is in process. It takes 5 minutes to buy on line, but takes 5 days to course of action a credit card refund, go figure.
This company has provided quality products at eminence prices, I hope they are not going the way of so many American companies, failing to meet even mediocre standards.

Now this is what i call a wood stove
So much unerring than the DeLonghi TCH8590ER 34-Inch Ceramic Tower Heater that I bought a few duration before. The Vornado heats up a room quickly and quietly. Excellent analogue controls means no resetting if the power dips or goes out. Plain and easy operation. No silly glowing night lights that are far too bright, no silly disastrous dials, just a solid heater. Highly recommended.

Nothing Compares to this Oil-burning stove/Fan
First off, I would like to say that this is the ONLY offensive heater/fan made in the USA. I did over 5 hours of pure research before I made a purchase and everything else was made in China. I don't know about you, but if I'm gonna be sleeping with a (potentially treacherous) heater/fan on all night, I don't trust in leaving it up to the Chinese to keep me safe with their "high-quality"(have a funny feeling the sarcasm?) production. If you trust in the Chinese with a potentially fire-prone heater, then you best have a smoke fear in your room (probably also made in China haha!).

The main thing I like about this heater is that it is not only a wood stove, but it's a normal fan too! I'm the type of person who can't sleep without some sort of white noise at night, and let me have an effect you...this fan was perfect for that specific purpose. The "Fan Only" mode is the absolute perfect noise level for sleeping...not too still, and not so loud that you won't be able to hear your alarm in the morning.

The heater works extremely well. It does not stroke like most heaters, where when you get close to the heater-grill, it will burn your hand. This heater feels more like a de luxe car-heater. There is a "Hi & Low" mode, and there is also the "Fan Only" mode (see above). You can also set the room temp, and the heater will only put out as much power as it needs to reach the desired temperature...after that it will decrease power. I have not experimented with that setting yet, I am only going by what Vortex claims.

The heater is very light, and is expected in such a way that makes it very hard to tip over. It has a nice, modern black look, and the controls are very straight-pushy and easy to operate. It's the perfect size too.

The cost is a bit high, but I think it's worth it (if you have the hard cash) to invest in such a high-quality product. If you're only going to be turning the heater on while you are awake, and at make clear, then I don't see any problem with owning/using a Chinese-made heater...I just don't trust a Chinese-made oven/fan being used while I'm asleep at night. I don't mean to scare anyone out of buying a Chinese-made heater/fan...moral don't turn it on while you sleep.

So, overall I don't think there is any better choice than the Vortex Vornado AVH2. It's fits my requirements in every way and is safe. Previous to the Vortex Vornado, I owned a Chinese-made "DeLonghi DCH1030" which was actually somewhat nice, but it didn't even compare to the Vortex. And yes it was made in China, so I didn't trust it at night while I was sleeping.

This is one of those rare times where I was more satisfied than I owed, after making a purchase.

A++++ Vortex! (Hopefully it doesn't break after writing this look over , haha.)
