Systematically what I hoped it would be
On its lowest celerity, this little fan provides a pleasant breeze from ten feet away with virtually no noise. The lead-pipe cinch is sufficient to keep my office perfectly comfortable with the air conditioning set to 80 degrees. This product is particularly what I hoped it would be.

Vornado 530B
Don't let the unsatisfactory size fool you-this fan moves a lot of air. There are any number of fans on the market, priced in the $10-$20 span, that are about the same physical size as the 530B (B=black) but, they don't perform anywhere near the Vornado. I had oft wondered why the Vornados were priced substantially higher than the competition. After plugging it in and turning it on I had my answer. I couldn't believe the air circulation this matter puts out. Definitely proof that you get what you pay for.

If you want a compact fan that gives great performance then this should be your first choosing, I highly recommended it.

On the downside-the "warranty". This product comes with a 5 year warranty. Sounds evocative, doesn't it? Well, when you read the fine print-if it needs service you have to send it back to the manufacturer along with $20.00 to substitute return shipping and handling. So, it will probably cost about $10.00 for shipping to Vornado plus the $20.00 payment shipping to you and you're out $30.00. Pretty sad for a product priced slightly less than $40.00 from Amazon. I believe that what they will do is send you a refurbished unit. You'd be better off throwing the bad unit away and purchasing a new one. Having said that I still over recall it's a fine product. Now, if they could do something about that "warranty" (like having a local repair facility) I'd be unconditionally satisfied.

Appropriate size for bedroom
This is the third Vornado fan I have purchased. I also own a 783B "whole concert-hall" fan that I use to push cool air upstairs during the summer and a 733B "whole room" fan that I use to circulate air in our living/dining range areas. I have been very pleased with these fans since purchasing them two years ago. I don't know whether they have had a discernible impact on our vitality consumption, but they certainly make the house more comfortable by evening out the hot and cool spots, nothing but as they are designed to do.

I hesitated before purchasing this fan for my 3 y/o daughter's room based on some of the critical reviews. However I have been very euphoric with this fan. Despite its compact size, it circulates air very effectively throughout a large bedroom with very little alarms on its medium setting. The High setting sounds like a typical fan's high milieu, meaning you could have a phone conversation sitting next to one but might find it distracting. Medium, however, is barely audible (sympathetic white noise), and low is truly whisper quiet.

Perhaps I could find flaws with the 530B if I put it under a microscope like some of the more cacophonous reviewers have, but it fits my needs perfectly and exceeded my high expectations.

The barely fan that could!
I have owned Vornado fans for years and they have always been unfailing. I purchased this smaller version to use wherever it might be needed.

It's compact size fits on kitchen counters or bedroom tables. It is unexcited and efficient. The vortex air flow allows air to circulate without blowing directly in your face.

I recommended this work to my friend and she loves it too.

Performs well
Bought this fan for a mignonne bathroom. It is performing consistently with what I expected based on the reviews. It's powerful enough to make a dissension, and I can feel the airflow from a few feet away. Great for personal use in a small office or area. Good-hearted Product
I dear one this fan except for the on/off switch. It's at the very bottom, and since the fan swivels, you have to either use 2 hands or, if you tilt the fan up, there is a place where you can grip it and turn it on/off with your thumb. If this sounds complex, you are right. But once you get it turned on, it works wonderfully.

Unconditionally Love It!
I ordered this fan even after reading some pulchritudinous negative things about it. Not sure why - I absolutely love it! I have it on my desk at work and only need to set it on the lowest milieu to get plenty of air. Sure, the motor makes a little noise but what do you expect? I love the lay out and it looks so nice sitting on my desk. Most people can't even tell that it's a fan. Definitely going to classify another one for next to my bed.

Vornado Should be Shamefaced!
Vornado is known for its authoritative fans. I have one that blows more air than three regular fans. So, I felt it was safe to buy this personal fan that is supposed to tornado air over 20 feet. NOT! 5 feet at the most and not very much even if you are right next to it. It is at best a weak desk fan and at worst a manuscript weight. On low speed, you really can't feel it at all. But even as a desk fan, it is way overpriced. I've had cheap handheld freestyle fans that do more.

sublime bedside fan
I've tried a lot of small-scale fans for my small bedside table and this one is the best. It has a very small footprint - a bit bigger than a liberal coffee mug. It is very easy to swivel side to side and up and down. On the low setting, it does not feel like a strong turn to the face - just enough breeze to cool me off at night. And it's so quiet, you can't hear it from more than a couple feet to another place (i.e., doesn't wake sleeping spouse.) One person commented about the control dial being abstruse to manage: it isn't if you wrap your hand around the base and then use your thumb to push the dial back and forth.
This is the fan you need for those night-time hot flashes, ladies! And it's nice looking too.

Not that potent
When I be familiar with the advertisement for this product, I thought it would be perfect to cool my laptop, as I use it for long hours as a desktop. Well, the matter has to stay very close to help cool it. It is not as powerful as I thought it would be. I would recommend people try other products before buying this one. Moreover, when I curve it off I realize it is not that quiet.

Works as meant
I don't take it the reviewers complaining about the lack of power. It's a 'personal fan' and I wouldn't want to sit in a wind subway that makes my eyes water and all my papers fly away, which speed two would if it were any more powerful. I keep it about two feet from me on the escritoire. Speed one gives me a gentle breeze with almost no noise and speed two makes my hair jump a little and it's still quiet enough to be drowned out by the sound of the A/C. As for the switch I don't find it difficult and can flip it with one hand. I unveil the fan first, hold down the fan by putting a finger between the base and the fan and use my thumb to switch it on and off. The fan pivots left and virtuousness, which is nice, so you can adjust the direction without having to slide the entire fan around. It's stylish, finger-unharmed, and I got two for one on woot, so I'm very happy with the purchase.

too costly for the output
Category is nice...thats it. This fan is not powerful at all. the "high" setting is pretty pathetic and loud. It has to be full aimed at you and 2 feet away. The switch is in the front of the fan, not sure why some people are saying its in the back but its still a awkward rotating disc, I never remember which way to turn it to off. Like I said, the only good thing about it is that it is neat looking and matches my red Keurig at my escritoire, but way too expensive for a paperweight.

Sizeable desk fan
Does it mess up? Yes. It's a fan.

The low setting is a nice constant breeze when the fan is a couple feet from your face. It is also completely unspeaking on low. If you've been working out or doing some kind of physical activity, the low setting isn't going to do anything for you. Or if your office/cube is unqualifiedly hot, low isn't going to cut it. When it's a little warm or you just want a little circulation, it's nice on low.

The drugged setting is nice when it's getting stuffy around the collar. It's not going to blow you away, but it's invigoration when you're getting warm. It does make some noise on high, but not so much that I need to speak louder or deflect up my desk speakers. My laptop is louder when the fan kicks on high. The fan is a couple decibels quieter than the within a mile of-jet-engine sound of my wife's Mac Book Pro.

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The design is drawing and it's a solidly built product. It's a desk fan, so don't expect it to do anything for you if you're sitting it 10 feet in a different place. Also, the switch is a bit awkward, like other reviewers have mentioned. I *can* turn it on with one hand, but it's not the easiest constituent to do. But don't let the switch dissuade you from buying this product.

-1/2 star since it would be nice if there were 3 settings with the 3rd being higher than lofty for when you're sweaty.
-1/2 star for the awkward speed setting switch.

Vornado's Worst Fan
I inclination Vornado's product line, but the "Zippi" is simply a mistake.
Upon opening this product I was happy with its look and stroke, but upon plugging it in, felt little air flow on either speed.
Within ten minutes of using this, the spinning song fell off the base unit, and now my fan hardly works.
I will be returning this mistake of a purchase and disquieting the Vornado "flippi"

Performs excellently as a escritoire fan.
I bought this fan for the escritoire in my office, since the room temperature is higher than is comfortable for me. I leave it on the low setting and it cools the air around me by a few degrees. The fan is well-suited for an section environment, as it is small and quiet; even on the high setting the fan remains quieter than the typical ambient business white noise. It's also quite stylish; the design has a retro-inspired feel that reminds me of an old apparatus propeller. The cloth blades inspired many of my colleagues to stick their fingers in the fan while it's running. The air circulates firm enough that you feel the air move, but not to the point that papers are flying around.

Bottom line: If you need a compact and quiet escritoire fan that won't be intrusive or too powerful, the Zippi will be an excellent fit. It won't cool an entire room or anything, but it will provide cooler air around your physical space.

Most excellently Desk Fan Ever.
This regular little portable gizmo is all the breeze that you will ever need on your desk!

It is light and yet sturdy enough to be bewitched around. With 2 speed settings I can choose the most favorable amount I like. It folds and will easily fit on a decent escritoire ( for size reference, it is smaller than a football).

This sleek wonder from the Vornado brand will definitely dream up a good breeze. The reach of its breeze is more than an arm's length. It doesn't create a "Vortex destroy someone's advantage" effect like the standard Vornado, but it will certainly cool you down on a Hot 100+ day. Also the best part about it is that it is really Non-Standard real silent. It will not annoy you or your coworker.

I have been using it for more than a month now and I most certainly recommend it to one and all!

Goodness performance, when it was working.
I ordered this to have a fan I could fit on my escritoire at work, and for that purpose it worked great. After two weeks of no problems using it, it just wouldn't turn on. Some other reviews intimate the same problem occurring at different time spans, but it seems to be an issue with this particular fan. The cost of sending it back to the shipper isn't importance the refund, so don't rely on being able to return it later if it does break suddenly.

Faultless little fan
This unmatched little fan shipped overnight and became the ideal addition to my place. The wind power is enough to wilful my 250 square foot apartment and at 2 feet tall, it simply folds down to combination right into the room, not making it look like a fan at all. Definitely would recommend to someone in need an operative and durable product under $50 bucks.

Consummate fan - nice design
This fan is less quiet and does a good job circulating the air in a room without having a gale blowing. As an performer I appreciate the design and I like the way it rotates down to keep the fan dust free. My one and only complaint is that it is difficult to curve on and off and to change the speed. The switch is located at the front on the bottom. It is a rotating switch and a little stiff. This was of course done for design purposes, so that the switch would not intrude upon the design. In this instance they may have gone a little too far for intention's sake. Having said that, it is still a superior fan and worth the price. I would buy this again and would recommend it.
