I was wondering how many populace have used those little space heaters in their homes and how much of a dent did it put in your electric bill? I have a modest holmes space heater and run it when I go to sleep at night as my furnace gave out. That would be about 12 hours at ceaselessly and part of the morning. I heard some say that they run up the electirc bill really high and others say that is not sincere. I would like to hear from those who have used them. Also what sort of space heater do you use

I reasonable bought this compact Holmes space heater , I am not sure if its safe to use in my almshouse ? Just wondering if using that might cause any tripping of the periphery ? I just moved into a new home and seems to be cold all the time.....I have a yen for to heat up just the tv room , so please advice if its safe to use a space oven ? If yes what precautions should I take ? Thanks in advance....
What I actually think you should look into is determining why this room is cold? What understanding of heat do you actually have in the home? Is it steam, hot water, or hot air? The heaters are an affordable variant to the problem but they might not give enough heat when its already cold..

I can't bring forth the thought of filling up the oil tank at 3 dollars a gallon (or thereabout)
We are infuriating to use the space heater as much as possible . We have one in the living room and one in the bedroom.
How suitable are they? I am afraid a fan will stop and cause a fire or something.
If you aren't using it on an appendage cord, if you have it placed away from the wall & furniture and anything else fire-starting, there should be no problem. I'd make sure your smoke alarms have latest batteries. It appears most house fires are caused by residents who misuse the space heaters (curtains catch fire, electric outlets overheat etc.)
