Impartial one problem
Got this for our bathroom because the history says "it even works well in a bathroom thanks to its water-splash protection and GFI safety stopper." Package arrived, but the box and instructions says nothing about this, and in fact says not to use around such fixtures, etc. Perhaps it is only good for bathrooms that don't have any fixtures.

DeLonghi HHP800 Space Stove-top
I bought a DeLonghi HHP 1500 space stove-top last winter and was pleased with the purchase. However, the DeLonghi HHP800 space heater I purchased this year is considerably smaller and provides far less ardour than that purchased last year for seemingly the same price. Too, I like the look of the black model more so than the new unsullied one. Recommend one stick w/ the HHP1500 to get more bang for their buck (though I don't actually know what that one is selling for these life span). This was an instance where I would have been better off buying at a "brick & mortar" store. There I would have recognized the contradistinction as opposed to doing insufficient research and pulling the trigger on-line.

DeLonghi HHP800 Mica-Panel Space Oven - Love it!
I bought this stove-top for my bedroom (15x24) and it works perfectly. The first couple of nights I was so warm I had to get up to apply it down. The 6 thermosat settings work very well. I love that it is silent - but of course that also means that it does not passion the room quickly (takes about 30-60 minutes). My wife now moves this wood stove to her office each day to stay warm. I would definitely recommend this heater to anyone looking to efficiently ardour a room in their home.

Walking on air with my purchase
I bought this for my company (10'x12') It is cold sitting here by the window. This heater works really well. It survive a slight crackle noise when it turns on or changes heating cycles. Ilove the points that it is almost completely silent.

Also, It does have a slight smell the first time it turns on and heats up. I've comprehend other reviews about these types of heaters and posters suggested doing the first heat cycle in a well ventelated ground. I just turned it on in my office and it did have that new electronic heater smell, however it went away after a knee-high to a grasshopper period of time. I think it was money well spent.

Hot air here
I purposely gave this entity a thorough test i.e. actual usage through the winter before commenting. It has worked very well and have no complaints. A more deprecative analysis from an engineering perspective follows:

In the auto mode, there is virtually no hysteresis between the foremost and low heat commands within the controls. It continually shift forth and back and will result in a reduced existence expectancy. On the same token, once the high limit is reached and the unit stops automatically, the fan does not pressure air through and past the sensor to restart the unit when it should be on. I've found that by running in fan mode and then immediately to heat everything works only fine.

Surprisingly Operational
When I first took it out of the box and saw how unprofound it was and how light it was I was worried it wouldn't be powerful enough - but BOY was I wrong! It does a brilliant job of keeping our normally tooth-chattering first floor kitchen toasty warm.

Exchange for exchange
I purchased this oven NEW but received something that looked like it had been beaten with a baseball bat. The package that the heater came in was ripped, slice and torn. The company said they would send a replacement. It took several days for them to send a restoration label but now we will see IF I get a NEW heater and WHEN it arrives. This heater was clearly NOT new and it was CLEARLY listed as NEW. I won't be purchasing from them in the to be to come.

likeable unit for the money
So far, I am light-hearted with this heater. Set up was very easy, and I like the remote control. I only gave it 4 stars because it's not as powerful as I had hoped. It takes certainly awhile to heat our family room.

Does what it says. Works well.
I bought this for back up heat in the ill fame/shop, but am using it daily in the greenhouse. The freeze setting is ideal, as the heater comes on when the temperature drops below 45F. I no longer fundamental a separate temperature control (the existing one is now used exclusively for the vent fan). Only one glitch with these latest appliances with digital controls....when the electric goes out, even for a second, the controller shuts off.

Preserve your money!!
Worked close right out of the box for about, oh.... 12 hours or so. Then went completely dead.

Our home heating system crapped out on us, and this was required to be a temporary fix until Tuesday. By the time I can get a replacement, our new system will be installed. Intended to use this unit in my garage when our new heating system was installed. All I have now is a pictorial dust collector. DeLongi offices are closed "for inventory" until 01 March, so I cannot even telephone their customer service representatives.

Save your money. Buy another brand.

No too bad...not too significant
I needed to buy two heaters and an expense to another woman. I picked up this heater first as it seemed reasonably priced and got good reviews.

- Easy enough to put together. Comes in 3 bits. Two for the position and the tower.
- Has a plastic fee to it. I guess this tower style is in so there is a lot of extra plastic to make it this develop/size. Keeps cool but is still a big piece of plastic.
- Heats the room well enough.
- The beep when you metamorphosis functions is annoying as it is loud. Seems overkill.
- Remote works as it should.
- The controls on the front of the tower are disastrous. The icons are black. The buttons aren't lighted. So...you can't see the buttons at night. You get used to it but they have occasion for to be back lighted or something.
- I'd say this heater is a bit noisy. Fan sound is normal for a heater like this, but for me the oscillating motor is blaring. Mine has a small whering/motor noise to it. Bit distracting at times. Not a problem when not oscillating.
- Shape wise it fades in to the back ground. Not obtrusive.

Bottom line for me is that I didn't pay for the heater so it is good. Heats the dwelling well and seems to be efficient. However I am buying another heater and I am going with the non digital Vornado vs. getting this heater again.

Deep down Like Looks but Thermostat Sticks
First-rate looking unit that I was able to find. It is a combination of radiant and convection heater so while is warming the abide, it will "throw" heat to where you are.

The rating was set to mid-level because the thermostat sticks in the off position. Resetting only happens after a zealously whack to the unit. So I had to turn it all the way up to prevent the unit from shutting off and maybe not turning back on.

Works as advertised
The range works as advertised and although it doesn't have a readable thermostat it's fairly easy to achieve a at ease temperature and then set the heater to maintain it. I also like the two levels of energy use allowing you to use 750w or 1500w depending on your setting. It's quiet and appears to be saving us some nickels on our energy costs.

I like this portion , nice amount of heat , no fans so its nice and quiet. Spreads a nice amount of heat niggardly you and the price is right. I did not experience any smells like some people have posted .

Like a carry-on fireplace
I've had the DeLonghi HHP1500 for about a month & so far it has been gigantic. It's in my office-- nice and quiet, which is what I was hoping for. A few pops and pings as it cycles on and off, but nothing like the outcry that a fan operated device generates. I have it sitting about twelve inches away on the low setting and it feels like I'm sitting about 6 feet from a easily slack burning fire. Perfect.

According to a watt meter, the heater uses about 700 Watts on the low placement and 1400 watts on high. The back of the heater does get hot -- nearly as hot as the front (on low you can touch either side about 1-2 seconds before it's too hot to cope with, on high it's more like 1/4 second)-- I'd have to think twice about mounting it just on the wall. On the other hand, it's not so bad that I'm concerned about having the back of the heater a few inches away from a bookcase.

The only physiognomy that I'd say it lacks would be a timer-- I suppose I could use a wall timer, but it's so much easier (& safer, I put faith) if it's built in to begin with.

I'm hoping it holds up through a few winters-- if so it definitely earns a 5 star rating.

Thermostat Doesn't Effort At All
Excursion from being noisy, the thermostat on this little heater is non-functional. Turn the knob until the heater due cuts off and it will never turn on again! Turn the knob until it turns on and it will run continuously, forever. There must be about a 20 magnitude F window on this thermostat which makes it nothing more than a redundant on/off switch. While the unit puts out a lot of heat, I would not propose it.

I de facto like this product. It delivers extra heat for long periods of time without overheating or throwing a wave. I read a review that said it was too noisy for them, but the one I received was not noisy at all. It ran about the same as the one I got rid of because it wouldn't deliver the zealousness. It works for me, just what I was looking for.

Punctilious little office heater
My cubicle is ridiculously absolutely, and I got tired of not being able to feel my toes, so I did some research and settled on this heater. (Kudos to Amazon for shipping it in one day, by the way!) I had it set on atmosphere heat and it kept me nice and toasty all day. It's a bit loud, but not unduly so, given that it's a fan. I asked my neighbor (who sits 4 feet to another place) if it was too loud, and she said, "Is what too loud?" I haven't tried the thermostat, though, since I'm not trying to heat a reside, only my feet!

i have an Italian radiator looking space stove-top(DeLonghi) it draws 11 amps(checked with a fluke) what is a compelling timer i can plug it into, so i can wake up to a warm room and not bother about an overloaded timer?

I have looked into hearten glow gas heaters and delonghi & bionaire electric heaters. My main concerns are security, heat generating & cost effeciancy.

If you're in California, you will have to go exciting. Unvented gas room heaters are no longer legal in California. If you do get energized one, be sure and get one with a "tip over" switch that automatically shuts it off if it gets knocked over...

Is it safe to use a space heater in a toddler's room?

With the drugged cost of propane this year, I'd like to keep the thermostat as low as accomplishable and heat only the rooms(s) we're in with portable space heaters. I have owned a DeLonghi oil filled range before and thought it was safe to use at night, my husband is freaking out at the stark suggestion of using a space heater in our toddler's room, claiming it's a "fire waiting to stumble on". Assuming I bought a brand new one and toughened it according to directions, would I be able to sleep at night expert my toddler is warm and safe?

I allow with the hat girl above me. :)
If you are concerned about your child staying warm it is MUCH SAFER to buy him/her some subtle fleece "footie" pajama's and a down coverlet (warm in winter and cool in spring). You can always add uncommonly blankets, too. :)

I would NEVER trust a space heater under any circumstances.... ever.
