An economical choice with highly regarded safe keeping components. Perfect for smaller areas or larger areCustomer Reviewslots of fever , works greatI run several buildings that feature these, They are very common in apartments and they work very well. Lots of heat, pretty low din, and they take up very little wall space; just don't place furniture too close to them and vacuum the grill out once a year. These are often run by a go under thermostat; over-riding the built-in one. temperature dial useless I have Cadet fold up heaters in my apartment. One of these 2000 watt units in the living room, two 1000 watt units in the 2 bedrooms. As far as I can determine, the thermostats are useless. Just as an example: I have one of the 1000 watt units turned on in my bedroom propriety now. The room is 68-69 degrees. If you turn the thermostat all the way down to shut the heater off, and then turn it up until the stove-top turns on, it turns on at about 62 degrees. If you then turn it down until the heater goes off, it turns off at about 54 degrees. That's an 8 position swing. And the setpoints are WAY off from the actual temperature in the room. I don't understand why I don't see a lot of complaints on the internet about this sort of heater. I don't think it's just Cadet, I think it's the particular type of thermostat, no matter who the industrialist. I believe these are what are called "bimetallic" thermostats. As far as I can tell they are utterly useless. All they are good for is as an on off change. At least that is my opinion based on my own experience. If I'm missing something, someone please point it out to me. Has anyone ever been actually able to control the temperature within a believable range with these? If so please speak up and explain how you were able to do so. should have bigger laboured air fan Cadet #67507 2000W Exasperate Fan Heater Plenty of heat, wish the forced air fan was bigger. If I were to buy one again I think I would have gone with the next enormousness bigger from Cadet. I have one in my family room and love it, this one just doesn't blow the hot air. I worry about it over-heating. Cadet Mfg. 67508 Built-In Wall HeaterDetails

The furnace doesn't drive enough hot air into the underground room to keep it warm. I was thinking of going the route of a cadet, forced air rampart heater. My question: can you wire that if there is a nearby outlet? Is it very hard to do? I have done basic wiring work but don't want to go in over my head. Thanks for the aid. some are 220 v some are 110 v Space Heaters Directory
