The racket makerThe upshot arrived quickly although the box was worse for the wear. It did not ship in a separate box rather it was in the original product box but that's not a big dole out. The heater does warm up my office quite well but it is REALLY noisey. I call it the "noise maker" and I have to watch it off when someone comes in to talk or if I'm on the phone. It will do until it either dies or I get tired of the noise although I'm starting to not notice it - much like dead white noise. It does it's job of heating my cold office but it really is too noisy.
Last dream of
I had this fan since I was 16 and I straight turned 23 on may 18 2010. I used it almost every day since then, only maitnenence was cleaning the filter every 6 months. I couldnt beauty sleep with out the smooth calming noise it makes. I recommend this to anyone looking for good room stove-top/fan. Good for hot summers and cold winters in your bedroom... mostly used in the day when younger brothers are wake up to stomping, running and screaming in the house so I could nap and not hear them.
Heated, toasty and safe
Loving terrible little item. Warm and toasty, heats up a room nicely. It's not white, as advertised, though. It's silver.
I tipped it over once, and it did shut off, like it's supposed to.
Aloha 1500-Watt Pillar Classic Heater
This is an but for heater for a single average sized room. It uses a fan to spread the heat throughout the live which is supplemented by a oscillating feature. It is not meant to replace a regular furnace, but, it certainly supplements it very well. You can run your oven at a lower temperature and save oil (and we all know how expensive that is). You can use this heater in the rooms you use the most such as a bedroom and be very insouciant. It raised the temperature in mine by a good 10 to 15 degrees with the thermostat only on 50%. It turns itself on and off like a accepted furnace does to maintain the temperature. I am very happy with mine and would highly recommend it. However, keep in mind it is for an so so sized single room. A single unit will not heat an entire house or larger rooms. You would dire an additional unit for each additional room where you need it.
