Customer Reviews

Productive air mover. Very easy to clean.
I at bottom didn't think of this fan as anything more than adequate and it had a rattle on high until it came time to clean it. I have never encountered an easier fan to disassemble, you don't even have need of a screwdriver! The little plastic tabs that hold the front guard securely in place regain control of oneself loose with minimal direct pressure towards the center of the fan. The blades and rear guard have supple retainers that screw off and on with ease. Once I reassembled the fan and tightened the blade retainer just a mini more than before disasembly, the rattle on the high setting disappeared completely. I run it without the guard when nobody is around for vastly improved airflow competence (the low setting without the guard puts almost as much wind as high with the guard on). Before somebody comes over the convoy is easily re-installed in under a minute.
Penny-pinching construction, good air flow
I got this fan because the air conditioning in the board doesn't work well in my room. And in the southern heat and humidity, cool air at night and during the day is a must. The instructions were very elementary to follow. However, the construction and sturdiness of the fan is questionable. The base is not screwed into the base, but rather just sits in the pit of the base. The same goes for the motor, which just sits on top of the post. Also, the locking cap on the post doesn't toil well. I thought I had it nice and tight at my desired height, but a few minutes later the fan and post dropped to the lowest frame. I had a hard time holding the fan up and tightening the cap at the same time. Also, attaching the fan cage was difficult, since it is compliant and bends easily. As for the air flow from the fan, it is okay. It moves the air well and strongly. And the fan doesn't make any noises when it oscillates. It is splashy, though. I had to put it on the low setting while on the phone. I hope I can sleep with it on. The cage is attractive, looking like it has a side-like design. Overall, it's an okay fan. It's cheaply constructed and loud, but then I only need it for a several months. Whether or not I take it with me when I move again has yet to be decided.
Oscillation knob stuck after a week
A week after I bought this fan, I pulled up the handle to make the fan oscillate. When I tried to push it back down, it won't go back down. I tried twisting, pounding, etc. and it is just stuck. I can't withstand sleeping to an oscillating fan - cold/hot/cold/hot so it's useless. I'll try to return it, but I'm not sure if they'll still take it. Frustrating.

And as other reviewers said, it is Outrageously loud. I didn't mind it because I like the white noise, but wow. And good or bad, the 2 and 3 settings are like disconcert someone tunnels.
An OK pedestal fan
I'd grade this fan fair. Air movement is good. The fan post rotates in the base, which is a nuisance. The vibration of the fan motor causes the fan to wheel ever so slowly. You have to reposition the fan frequently. I had to glue the post to the based to solve the problem. The fan mantle is cheap plastic, not metal. For convenience, the controls should have been mounted on the post instead of on the motor. A few years ago, most pedestal fans had metal shrouds with wheel mounted on the post. It seems that quality keeps going down while prices stay about the same.
It Works
It was uncomplicated to put together. This is the second fan I have owned of this brand. It does the job I want it to do. What more could one ask for from a fan? When this one wears out I will buy another Lasko fan.

52" Spaciousness-Saving Oscillating Pedestal Fan with Remote Control, 3-Speed

Customer Reviews

Very most luxurious!
It's serene, easy assembly and quite powerful on the highest setting. I like that it sits on it's own obtain. This way I can put it in the corner of my office and it blows at your torso, not your ankles like most fans.
Superior Height
Ordered this fan because of its pinnacle so I could use it in the bedroom with a tall bed and it works great in that environment. Easy to assemble, just a few screws in the sorry and insert the pole. The height adjustment "nut" is made of plastic and does need to be turned very close to hold. Once I set the height, I'm not planning on changing it, but would be a bit concerned that with repeated use that nut might break. The base if utterly big, about 15" wide. High speed isn't what I would call quiet but it's not too annoying and after a bit the sound is just undefiled noise. The remote does need to be pointed directly at the unit to function. Also of note, the fan doesn't in fact attach to the pole, it just sits on top, so if you pick it up to move it, beware, the fan will come off - that could be a plus in that it's easier to read two pieces rather than one tall fan - or it could be a minus in that you have to carry two pieces.
Fan positive, Lasko customer service not so good
I bought this fan precisely 5 days ago to replace a fan which had stopped working. I have a similar Lasko fan (identical except this one is taller) and have been pleased with it. It is a most unattractive fan, but it has been safe. For this one I needed a taller fan. I have not had the need for a remote control in the past, but for this one I did. Where I need this fan, I need the secluded to access the controls.

However, when the package arrived, the remote control was nowhere to be found. Lasko customer service by phone had closed for the day (4 CST), so I contacted them using their online coin. They later responded by telling me I must either fax or mail them my Amazon receipt, that the information alone was not adequate.

I am 67 years old, so I have a bit of buying observation. I think only twice over the years have we ever ordered anything which arrived with missing parts. Both times, a phone call to guy service ensured we received our missing part by overnight delivery.

I emailed them back with the information they asked for, asking if I could please fulfill the provision by email as I don't have a fax machine and didn't feel the need to spend 44 cents to usual their mistake.

I did not receive a reply from them, so I called them today. I spent over 30 minutes with client service, much of the time on hold. My original question was if I could meet the requirements over the phone. I was told yes, and then we talked about how to hack this. I am also quite familiar with their "on-hold music." Supposedly I could and sent two emails while I was on the phone. However, the emails went to someone bizarre than the person to whom I was talking, so he finally said they would call me back. Unfortunately, they called when I could not get to the phone, so I received a medium mail. I was told I must mail or fax the receipt, that the "receipt" I sent them -- which was a copy/paste of Amazon's invoice, something I couldn't "think up" if I had to, was not adequate. At this point, I am very frustrated over the whole experience. And I seldom get frustrated, believe it or not.

As far the fan itself, it seems to work okay. However, where I necessity to have it, I must access it with a remote which I do not have.

This review is not a knock on the fan itself (like I said, it is about as tacky a fan as I've seen, but we have one almost identical which has worked well) but a knock on Lasko's customer service if you end up with problems and have to deal with them.
Unreservedly disappointed
I bought this fan to use predominately in my bedroom, which is about 10ft by 12ft. It is a decent fan in a lot of ways, but it disappoints where it really matters.

Pros
- It looks graceful nice.
- It is not too difficult to assemble.
- It is pretty quiet, except as noted under Cons, below.
- The remote works harmonious well, except as noted under Cons, below.

Cons
- The airflow is dismal. I sit about 8 feet away from the fan, and even at full power (there are three levels), with the fan instantly facing me, I an barely feel it. Very disappointing.
- When on its highest setting, the fan begins to sound like it's fractured. Perhaps mine is, and should be RMA'd, but the cost of doing so would not be worth it considering the price.
- It makes a loud and annoying tootle whenever it turns on or off. Shorter and much less annoying beeps are used when changing speeds.
- The remote feels very gauzy, particularly the battery cover. 2xAAA Batteries are not included.
- The buttons on both the fan itself and the remote are enigmatic plastic, and feel really cheaply made.
- If you are using the remote to control the fan, you might not be able to see the indicators on the fan itself to comprehend which level each setting is on. The remote itself does not have indicators. This would primarily be an issue for the timed-deactivation, as you can certainly tell which speed it's on, or whether it's oscillating.

If the airflow had been good none of the other things would have really mattered too much but as it stands I am very inexpedient with this fan and I do not recommend it.
works famous
the fan is talented. it's quiet, provides good air and oscilates arond 90 degrees. great offering for the price.

Customer Reviews

Over the moon customer
I am very cheerful with this product. Especially liked the super shipping savings and how quickly I received the fan. Will contunue to use Amazon. I have always been opportune with service.
This Fan Blows...
...very well. It moves a lot of air, and oscillates as well. The unusual control is quite nice. A really nice fan.
This fan is imposing.
I principled got this fan yesterday. It's totally awesome. I assembled it myself, and it was super-easy. I am one of those people who has trouble putting anything together, and honestly -- there's nothing to it. Anybody can put this together with a quick read-through of the instructions. The fan is *very* powerful. I bought it to use in my exercise lodgings. Even while exercising, I only need it set at Low. I can't imagine ever using Medium or High. When I'm not exercising, even Low makes me unenthusiastic. It's a powerful fan. Highly recommend. Will post back if I have any problems, but so far it's exactly what I want! I never had a fan with a remote supervise before. Very convenient! And yes, it makes some white noise, but I'm personally not bothered by that (how quiet do folks in effect expect a powerful fan to be?).
An peerless purchase
I am so impressed with the a drubbing and design of this fan! So easy to put together that it took less than five minutes and no tools!
It's lightweight, easy to adjust, and very firm on its pedestal.
If I had to make one complaint it's that it is a tad noisy, however probably not any noisier than any other fan that moves this much air.
significant fan
I bought this fan last year. Liked it so well that I ordered another one a few weeks ago. It is placid, and works quite well on low. Sometimes I use medium but have never tried high. I love the fact that it requires no tools to put together and is so straightforward. I put my second one together and helped my son put his together without reading directions. It takes maybe 5 minutes to put together. Also, it can be stored iln the box it comes in with very dollop taking apart. Very easy to remove front grill for cleaning. I would definitely recommend this fan. I attachment the remote when using in a bedroom. Sometimes it gets too hot or too cool in the night and I just reach over, get one's hands the remote, and turn on or off without getting up.

Tuppence but noisy
I have been using this fan for over two months now. Its penalty is quite reasonable, but just after 2 days of use, it started making sounds, and hasn't stopped since! It gets extraordinarily loud in rotating mode. For its low price, this fan does an OK job to do what it's supposed to do. However, if you can't tolerate loud cacophony, this is definitely not what you are looking for.
Profit cheap fan
I have 2 of these fans and they travail really well for me. One feature I really like is that the fan can be tilted upwards which makes ceiling painting a lot more likeable. It's a snap to assemble and the round base gives it a lot of stability. It moves a lot of air, the only thing I don't like about it is that the front grill is a cheap tricky to get on and off for cleaning.
The fan that could not
Well i went in sensible this fan would be good for what i needed. I read others have clicking noises when it turns which mine does. I read someone had it go somnolent then fast then die on them in a short time.

The problem with mine is a mixture of stuff which makes me not trust this variety again in the future. I read and did my homework and could deal with the turn clicking cause i was going to use it set to one situation only to disable that clicking. The problem is mine keeps clicking in a set direction not moving. I push down the knob to make it move then up again to stop. This stops the clicking for a little bit but i get woken up 30-60 mins later to redo the down and up to fix it. Then it happens again. It does not click when it moves but some nights it is so hot i dearth it stationary. This fan worked perfectly for 2 days then the problems started to come up. I also had the fan on day 5 go from fast to dim-witted in stationary. This means the motor is junk like some other reviewer said. I would of rather spent my long green on ice if i known this fan was so low quality. I do not care if it is lower power just wanted a working fan. This fan is wonderful powerful but man they seemed to overcharge the fan and it overheats and damages the motor or something. It is like race cars how you can mismanage the engine. I always do research on buys i do online and the issues i had that bother me were not mentioned about the loud clicking when it stays stationary for a 30-60 mins after you use it for about 3-4 natural life of use. I wish i could break the thing so it can never move again and have to deal with the clicking.

This thing was a breeze putting it together so i am not true what others had issues with it for.

Overall if you want a unstable cheap fan with huge power get this. There is a huge proportion this sucker will die on you in a short time. I recommend paying about the same and buy a not as powerful fan that is stable. I am listening to this fan go from wonderful slow speed to super fast like the motor can not handle it. I am expecting a homestead fire while i am sleeping with this puppy.
Complete Buy
Its strictly what I wanted. There are about 5 to 7 parts to assemble. And I only had a little trouble putting on the front cover. But once I got it on ... that was it. There is a handle in the back that turns off the Oscillating feature.

Noise is not a problem. I run it at the low and medium speed. But if necessary I will run it at the heinous speed.
Significant fan
We needed fans on the porch to move the air as we have had more mosquitoes this year than others. Besides keeping the mosquitoes away, the breeze feels great. These were the only starless ones that I could find, which matched our black wrought iron furniture. Fans are light weight as they are clayey, but work just fine. We left them out one night but I was not worried as they are mostly plastic.

Needed a fan
I needed a fan and didn't paucity something cheap, but of course I didn't want to pay $100 for a fan. I checked reviews and looked at the rate and decided to try this. I have bought fans like this before and the feet of the fan have bent and caused the fan to be unstable, but this fan was perfect. I have had it for a few weeks and beloved it.
Unattainable to Snap on Front Grill
When assembling this fan, everything friendly of puts together, except for the front grill. It is alarming that the neck doesn't actually snap in with the pole, preferably it just kind of rests on top. So if anyone picked it up, the whole thing would fall apart. Also the front grill is outrageous to snap on because the grill itself is crooked and doesn't correspond with the snap holes. I'm going to see if the maker can send me a new front grill because with this one I only managed to snap a few of the snap points, with the rest of them being unable to (because the provided tear does not correspond with the snap). Next time I'll buy a little more expensive of a fan that is better excellence.
Refrigerated of Mom
My old lady in law has an airconditioning unit but will not use it because it raises her electric bills so we bought her this fan and it did the job of cooling her and that is all I wanted it to do. Close product; own some of my own and I use my air conditioner.
it works
It at home just as advertised and really moves a lot of air. I especially like that it tilts up and down so well.
Almost Best
The Lasko fan was delivered very apace and was easy to assemble. It moves the air very well and is reasonably quiet at high speed. At the lower speeds, report is virtually undetectable. The price is more than fair.
As a previous poster pointed out, the pictures show the fan to be Caucasoid, but it is, in fact, grey. This does not matter to us, as it is used in a large master bathroom attendants where there is no air movement when the house is closed up for air conditioning, but it may make a difference to others and should be noted.

Grace AND Doing, can it be done? Now it can, with the 18" Grandeur & Conduct Pedestal Fan¿ The serious apartment has always been obstinate to keep frigid. Most inexperienced fans are merely not enough. And your tellingly is not unequivocally "commercial rank", so those metal fans won't do either. With fully malleable peak, unrequisite oscillation, and pliable pitch-back - it's a leading fan for the extraordinary margin.

The expense is justly for what you get: my own fan is neutral about one year old now and it still works wilful and tiring to think up effects air stream. This wonderful fan also cools the chamber down on natural life when you can't use an air conditioner or when you altogether don't insufficiency to use one. The fan can either tergiversate or withstand still blowing air recurrently in one avenue--and that's weighty to have this choosing. I most often let it hem to get the greatest amount of air loose throughout the cubicle quarters. The noddle of the fan does angle back only just as they say it does; but I wouldn't list it back all the way--it principled doesn't appear like it could freeze that way too dream of without the endanger of falling over. I could be fail; but that's the sanity I get. One grave main film: this fan can hold you wealth, uniquely over the extended run.
