52" Order-Saving Oscillating Pedestal Fan with Remote Control, 3-Speed
Customer Reviews
Very humane!
It's silence, easy assembly and quite powerful on the highest setting. I like that it sits on it's own maintain. This way I can put it in the corner of my office and it blows at your torso, not your ankles like most fans.

Brobdingnagian Height
Ordered this fan because of its extreme fell so I could use it in the bedroom with a tall bed and it works great in that environment. Easy to assemble, just a few screws in the wretched and insert the pole. The height adjustment "nut" is made of plastic and does need to be turned very uncompromising to hold. Once I set the height, I'm not planning on changing it, but would be a bit concerned that with repeated use that nut might break. The base if completely big, about 15" wide. High speed isn't what I would call quiet but it's not too annoying and after a bit the sound is just cadaverous noise. The remote does need to be pointed directly at the unit to function. Also of note, the fan doesn't indeed attach to the pole, it just sits on top, so if you pick it up to move it, beware, the fan will come off - that could be a plus in that it's easier to secure b abscond with two pieces rather than one tall fan - or it could be a minus in that you have to carry two pieces.

Fan sound, Lasko customer service not so good
I bought this fan perfectly 5 days ago to replace a fan which had stopped working. I have a similar Lasko fan (identical except this one is taller) and have been contented with it. It is a most unattractive fan, but it has been reliable. For this one I needed a taller fan. I have not had the need for a remote control in the past, but for this one I did. Where I necessity this fan, I need the remote to access the controls.
However, when the package arrived, the remote control was nowhere to be found. Lasko chap service by phone had closed for the day (4 CST), so I contacted them using their online form. They later responded by forceful me I must either fax or mail them my Amazon receipt, that the information alone was not adequate.
I am 67 years old, so I have a bit of buying meet with. I think only twice over the years have we ever ordered anything which arrived with missing parts. Both times, a phone call to fellow service ensured we received our missing part by overnight delivery.
I emailed them back with the information they asked for, asking if I could please fulfill the necessity by email as I don't have a fax machine and didn't feel the need to spend 44 cents to blame their mistake.
I did not receive a reply from them, so I called them today. I spent over 30 minutes with consumer service, much of the time on hold. My original question was if I could meet the requirements over the phone. I was told yes, and then we talked about how to conclude this. I am also quite familiar with their "on-hold music." Supposedly I could and sent two emails while I was on the phone. However, the emails went to someone weird than the person to whom I was talking, so he finally said they would call me back. Unfortunately, they called when I could not get to the phone, so I received a express mail. I was told I must mail or fax the receipt, that the "receipt" I sent them -- which was a copy/paste of Amazon's invoice, something I couldn't "devise" if I had to, was not adequate. At this point, I am very frustrated over the whole experience. And I seldom get frustrated, believe it or not.
As far the fan itself, it seems to work okay. However, where I fundamental to have it, I must access it with a remote which I do not have.
This review is not a knock on the fan itself (like I said, it is about as tacky a fan as I've seen, but we have one nearly the same which has worked well) but a knock on Lasko's customer service if you end up with problems and have to deal with them.

Unreservedly disappointed
I bought this fan to use from in my bedroom, which is about 10ft by 12ft. It is a decent fan in a lot of ways, but it disappoints where it really matters.
Pros
- It looks attractive nice.
- It is not too difficult to assemble.
- It is pretty quiet, except as noted under Cons, below.
- The remote works winsome well, except as noted under Cons, below.
Cons
- The airflow is dismal. I sit about 8 feet away from the fan, and even at full power (there are three levels), with the fan instantly facing me, I an barely feel it. Very disappointing.
- When on its highest setting, the fan begins to sound like it's disintegrated. Perhaps mine is, and should be RMA'd, but the cost of doing so would not be worth it considering the price.
- It makes a loud and annoying toot whenever it turns on or off. Shorter and much less annoying beeps are used when changing speeds.
- The remote feels very insubstantial, particularly the battery cover. 2xAAA Batteries are not included.
- The buttons on both the fan itself and the remote are demanding plastic, and feel really cheaply made.
- If you are using the remote to control the fan, you might not be able to see the indicators on the fan itself to be sure which level each setting is on. The remote itself does not have indicators. This would primarily be an issue for the timed-deactivation, as you can probably tell which speed it's on, or whether it's oscillating.
If the airflow had been good none of the other things would have really mattered too much but as it stands I am very sorrowful with this fan and I do not recommend it.
