5 stars at first, but doesn't last extensive enough
I loved this fan when I first bought it. I was looking for something to espy just enough noise to fall asleep to and this thing was perfect. I left it on low speed at unendingly - it was quiet, but made just enough noise (a few feet from my head) to help drown out any other noises that normally wake me up. After about 9 months, the inner mount of the fan blades (around which the blades wheel) came loose and the fan started wobbling a little and making off-beat noises, which were worse in low velocity and not conducive to sleeping. At first putting it in high speed fixed the problem. Then it started occasion in high speed too, unless the fan was titled at a certain angle. I've had this fan for almost two years now and at this point the fan only runs smoothly (without odd noise) when I put it on its side on high speed. There's no way to fix the fan - you'd have to break it in order to get at the problematic piece.

Aside from its evaluate, the main reason I bought this fan was that it was supposed to be made in USA. However, I thoroughly searched the packaging and fan but there's no "Made in USA" marking anywhere. In deed data, there's no marking indicating where it was made.

The fan does not oscillate side to side and has a limited up-and-down range (adjusted by loosening and tightening a sherd of plastic).

I can't say I recommend this fan. There's got to be something better on the market. I have old Sanyo fans that are more than 20 years old and still work definitely. Any decent appliance should last more than 2 years.
Apart from
I purchased two of these fans. They are unswerving, quiet and smooth running. The choice of two speeds offers good air flow options. I'm positively thrilled with them!
reat thimbleful fan
Perilous little fan for your desk. It works very well. I would definitely recommend this fan to others
twenty three dollars and NOT made in the USA!
This itty-bitty fan is the price of USA made, so I was surprised to see NO "made in the USA" anywhere on the packaging, in the instruction booklet, on packing slip, etc. I contacted the visitors and this is what they responded:

"Thank you for taking the time to contact Lasko Products, Inc. Lasko and Air King are still one of the largest manufacturers of house-broken home improvement products. Some, of our products are imported from China; however the development, engineering, prominence and safety originate from the United States, under the strict guidelines and requirements of the UL and ETL.

The model 9146 has a motor that is IMPORTED from CHINA, however all of the other fan parts are manufactured in the U.S., and the fans are ASSEMBLED in the U.S.

If you have any other questions or concerns, seem free to contact our Customer Service Department at 1-800-233-0268 and one of our representatives will be happy to further you. They are available Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm Eastern Time."

-- So the most important part of this fan is from CHINA. The price is luxurious, but if you don't care that is is NOT made in the USA, buy it.

I have been looking for a fan and found this distinguished piece.
This is stunningly silent and gives a great feel.
One minor comment is the projection to adjust the speed is at the back. Otherwise this is elegant!

A Calibre UNIT
This article is a little more expensive than your average floor fan, and it is worth every penny. Solidly made out of metal, it has mass and heft. It is quiet and powerful. It took little effort to put together the base. There is even a slot in the back where you can stash the withdrawn so you wont lose it. Definitely recommnded.
Extraordinary for Cooling Home Theater Components
This entity can be controlled remotely, either thru a Logitech Harmony controller or with the remote that comes with the fan. The Logitech Unity 900 automatically creates buttons for controlling fan speed, oscillation, mode and power up/down. Specious! I like the fact that the fan issues a confirming beep upon startup and shut down, so even when controlled from a disparate room you can listen and confirm that it started up or powered down. Can also be set to oscillate and has it own built in shutoff timer. Mine has worked reliably for approaching two years.

A hint of air!
Have had this fan for several weeks now and we're very joyous with it. Yes, it IS a little noisy at high speed but low and medium have been perfectly fine. When we first got the first fan, it came in diluted and in pieces; when we contacted the vendor (RedeemAir) .. they were extremely quick to correct the predicament ... EXCELLENT customer service. We're happy with the fan and VERY happy with the vendor.
I like this fan
I needed a fan that would fit in my kids margin somewhere. I have this little baby organizer that you can put diapers, etc, etc in and thats where I hve it at now. Its on the top. I didnt think that the 12" would fit but it does. Its practised for their room. Their room is so small but it gets so hot in there. This fan works really good. I dont intend its any louder than any other fan. All fans make noise. I havent had a problem with this fan and noise. It sounds like any other fan should. I extraordinarily recommend this to anyone.
Works Pleasant, but Seems Expensive
Our room manager recently bought about 25 of these, and they've really come in handy. It's your basic fan, secure, but it has more than enough power to cool off a medium-sized office, it's light, has three speeds, looks well-constructed with reasonably strong compoments, and...it's not ugly.

The first and second speeds are usually enough; in fact, I;ve never put it to the max. That's good, because when I tested it at sincere 3, the fan sometimes rattled (The noise would probably not be as loud on a non-carpeted surface.) I've had it going all day without any problems: It's effectual enough, it doesn't tip, the oscillator works without a hitch, and it's sufficiently quiet below level 3. Features tabulate...almost nothing. Like most fans, there's a metal guard, and it comes with a safety-mided 3-pronged plug. My only squawk is the price, it was about 50% more expensive than I thought it would cost. Maybe it's just a case of knife inflation.

feeble construction
We never got to use this fan; it here broken at the neck. It's made of a cheap plastic which could not withstand the perils of the shipping. Also, the packing was amateurishly done. The unit was returned. Fortunately, Amazon.com credit our charge card.
awful fan
My store and I have tried several different fans to make our sons room less hot and stuffy. Most of them, you can't even feel a breeze across the cell when the fan is on it's highest setting. The Air King, however, on it's lowest setting, will blow you away. You can feel the air out in the hallway. It keeps our son's range cool and the air circulating. We are very pleased with the fan and have considered getting fans for other rooms.

Use Buy For The Money
I purchased this fan to get rid of all of the cords my better half had running across the sinks in the bathroom. After showering she'd overheat while doing her hair/makeup in the sexy bathroom. I opted with mounting it on the wall between the sink basins and running the wiring through the madden and into the attic to connect. Yes, the fan is not whisper quiet, but is no louder than most and a great deal quieter than many. You can slant it to some degree and it is reasonably attractive as oscillating fans go. My wife leaves it on almost continually and I've had no issues with vibrations.
Fold up mounted fan
Since it is blunt to find a small fan that mounts to a wall, we decided to go with this one. It looks good but on high speed, it is uncommonly noisy. We can hear it vibrate through the wall and into other bedrooms and across a hall.
Arrange-saving cooling marvel! Not "wobbly" at all
I can't be conversant with why wall fans are so difficult (impossible?) to find in stores. If you need a fan in a cramped space, or just poverty to use your desk/shelf space for something else, you need a wall-mount fan. I have a small office, and this 12" fan was upright what the doctor ordered. The person who wrote the fan was "wobbly" probably did not mount it properly. You call for to read the directions for mounting, because the proper method for mounting is not intuitive. However, once mounted politely it is unusually solid and stable. I'm not sure if I would go so far as the reviewer who wrote that, once the fan was properly mounted, you could clutch from it, but that's not far from the truth. This fan has an extra-long cord so you probably won't need to use an extension cord. I like the truth that it has a pull-string to instantly turn off the fan, regardless what speed it is on. It is reasonably quiet and very compelling for its size. I rarely use it on anything more than the lowest speed.
Loyal
I have to dispute with the wobbly fan person. If you mount it correctly, per the instructions that are included, you can hang from the fan if you wanted to. Now I have two of these in my sun lodgings and they are out of the way mounted on the wall and much more powerful than those cheap fans you get at home depot. Pull string lets me coppers the fan speed with a short tug I recommend these to anybody with a home garden.
Wobbly fan
I could only find two fans this make an estimate of for wall mounting. Unfortunately, it is wobbly. On low speed it is not too bad. But at mid or high speed it is very noisy, rattling against the close off. I think the center axle is slightly off-center, but it could be the plastic blades that screw onto it. I am planning to call the maker to see if they will exchange it.

Air King Box Fan

This was the aid fan my Grandma gave to me years ago. This was the fan she used for a leaving out time before finally buying an oscillating stand fan ...

What is the best floor fan or oscillating fan?

I have a "King of Fans" fan and while it puts out a lot of air gesture, it is very loud. Is there a quieter fan that is still powerful?
I am wondering if anyone knows of a distinct brand that is quieter.

Thanks

I have a Galaxy fan that ossilates and is on a 4 foot cart.
Quiet, efficient. I would suggest it to anyone. Got it at
