Frustratingly Rubbishy
I small amount this humidifier would be great; I thought wrong. The first one I purchased worked great for the first few days; however it started leaking from somewhere and ruined my unnatural floor. I moved it into a tin baking pan, to stop the water from ruining the floor, however, after about a month and partially, it just stopped working altogether. I exchanged the humidifier for a same model replacement, intellectual my first one was just defective. The new one also leaked (thankfully I already placed it in a tin just in case) and just stopped working again after less than a month. I have returned it for wholesome. I strongly advise not purchasing this humidifier.

Good like any other filter
What I didn't like was the shipping wasn't very swift. Not bad, but if you're used to getting things quickly (as most things come that I order through Amazon whether it comes quickly from Amazon or the company) this one doesn't.

Intimate when brand new only...
This output is great when it is brand new, but after two weeks, it starts to smell because it starts getting moldy. Putting chlorine on it makes the whole room smells like bleach. Ick!! Takes two days to get rid of the lighten smell, then have to turn on the air cleaner. What a pain to get a little humidity into the air!! Only purchase if you can keep buying them over and over, again.

Distinct to Find in Stores

HWF65PDQ-U vs. HWF-65 filters
Can someone please leak me what is the difference between the HWF-65 and the HWF65PDQ-U? I have several HWF-65's laying around from my Holmes HM2060W humidifier that recently died and I am stressful to find a replacement humidifier that uses the same wick filters. I am seeing a model (HM1865-U) nominated on Amazon that says it uses the HWF65PDQ-U replacement filter but no one (not even Holmes) will answer my question of WHAT IS THE Diversity BETWEEN THE TWO replacement filters?!!?!?!?!? I just need this burning question answered...

Getting a petty more time out of your filter
I've noticed that if I take a teaspoon of etiolate and put it into a full resevior of water after about 3 or 4 weeks into a new filter, that I get almost 2 months out of a filter instead of the usual month. There is a scanty bleach smell the first day or two but it goes away quickly.

These things are high-priced and crud up and become brittle within a season. I'm switching to a wickless system for next winter. The actual humidifier works well if you yearn for to put up with the hassle of the wick.
