Grown mold and stopped working in 6 months
We liked the measure and ultrasonic mechanism of this humidifier. Unfortunately, it stopped working after 6 months of nightly use. I would opt another brand and forgo the hassle.

Absolute for RV's
We travel in an RV 8 months a year and chain in very dry climates most of the time. This humidifier is just the right size to raise the hummidty to keep the wood in the RV from shrinking too much. It also helps keep our lamina from drying out. Sometimes the unit is hard to get started and sometimes makes noise. Both are not big issues but just the same it you should be acquainted with this prior to purchase. Good unit and will keep going throughout the night.

Stentorian noise when starting up
I can't let slip you if this actually adds to the humidity. It does put out a little steam-like cloud of moisture but more importantly it puts out a moderately loud grinding noise when we first turn it on. Sounds like the fan isn't seated well in there and is wobbling against the cover or something. The noise usually stops after 5 minutes or so, but it shouldn't be there at all. Agreed? Also, make sure you click on "See All My Reviews" for residents who leave glowingly positive reviews on here. If that's the only review they've ever left on Amazon, they're probably shills for the party making the thing.

Dormant and works great

Many involve boiling the water and are too noisy to have in my room, noticeably when sleeping. This little thing makes very little noise yet pumps out a lot of cool fog into the air. The only down side is that this guy is small and does not hold a lot of water, but enough for me (especially to run while I sleep. Also with a small footprint it doesn't take up too much place on my counter like other models. Most importantly this machine does for about $25, what other machines do for approach $100 at BB&B. Highly recommended. :D

Terrific prodcut for the price
Hi,

I have been using this produce since the last 2 years and so far never had any problems with it. Its is effective for a reasonably sized bedroom or small living room. Reasonable make sure after every use you clean the base with cold water and always remember to fill it up with cold cut and not hot or room temperature water.

You don't need to think twice to buy this.

Contented at last!!
I am exceptionally happy with this humidifier. It is our fourth humidifier in as many months... the others have all failed in one way or another and I was ready to give up! We wanted a humidifier for our sons bedroom and were current for all the cute looking kids ones - which do not work! I was starting to think that we were cursed or that there was no such feeling as a good working humidifier..... until this came along.

I rate this one for a few main reasons.
1. It is so plain to use. No gadgets or settings.
2. It is so easy to clean and assemble.
3. It is super easy to fill - right from the top with no enchanting anything apart.
4. It is quiet and pleasant to have on.
5. It is sturdy and the water tank does not feel like it is growing to crack every time you clean it.

There is one major con - it is pretty ugly. Not major in my book because of all of the above and because it does what it is suppositious to do - which is the main thing. I told my son it was a space ship and he seems to have gone along with that - he is two so easy to please....

Don't hesitate to get this if what you de facto want is just a good reliable working humidifier.

Works dainty
It's not too stationary but it does help the humidity level in a small/medium room. I use this during the day to make the nursery well-advised for my baby at night. I don't run it at night due to the amount of noise it makes.

Worth product for the price
Kaz 4100 Robustness Mist Quiet Operation Cool Mist Humidifier -
Size: about 11"x13", altitude about 8"
Purchased about a month ago. The product still works.
It is not silent but is quiet enough not be annoying (I do not run it overnight).
The implement is enough for a mid-size bedroom.
Easy to use and care for - the water channel is very helpful as you do not need to move or public the device to refill it.
The only negatives are:
- no on/off switch - you have to plug/unplug the device, and
- the noise/shape - I would prefer it to be silent (which is probably not mechanically possible).
Overall, a good little desire. Excellent, considering the price. I would buy it again.

Way too piercing
This humidifer is so booming that the first night I had to take a sleeping pill in order to fall asleep with it on! The second night I really unplugged it and gave up. To their credit, [...] did allow me to return it for a full refund despite the the score that I'd opened the box (obviously).

not very at rest
to me, the spin-off name is misleading. it's very audible and distracting if you want to get a child to sleep while using the humidifier. i ended up giving it to my son for his spoil.

Viability cycle Use Characteristics
A fair good humidifier pad that can be washed, to reduce hardwater buildup, and reused several times. However the stick joint weakens and disolves in hot water used to refurbish the filter. Be careful while washing for reuse.

Completely found the filter cheap!
I didn't make real that I needed to look online for these filters since I bought my humidifier at a store. After months of prospering to the store and then forgetting about needing new filters I finally looked up the information online. I was happy to find out that not only was amazon one of the cheapest retailers to get these but I also qualified for free shipping since I just went in advance and ordered 3 at once! These are even upgraded from the original so I am happy with my purchase.

does the job
these filters are tolerant to see and change. They tear easily when wet, so you have to be careful replacing the water container each time, however, that's unquestionably feedback better for the humidifier than the filter. I used to be able to find these at general retailers, however, the ones in my territory stopped carrying the model I needed. The ones ordered from Amazon shipped dissolutely! There are 3 filters in the box.

Outspread Life? Pure marketspeak
I'd like to skilled in how long a non-extended-life pad will last. These are made with one perforated cylinder of foil (with opposing sides very ailing connected - if they are connected at all), surrounded on each side by a cylinder of perforated *paper*. I think it's unbiased the paper that's holding the cylinder together. It will last a month if you are lucky. Don't plan on soaking it in vinegar, as it will scarcely fall apart. I think they call this "planned obsolescence". This is obviously where they make their rhino, similar to ink-jet printers and their costly ink cartridges.

Nightmarish Filter

I purchased this gauze for my Vicks V3100 home humidifier. I regularly performed operational maintenance on my humidifier, including washing the dribble. Despite the maintenance the filter slowly became discolored from the natural pollutants and minerals contained in my D. The Protec Extended Life Humidifier Filter helped solve my tough nut to crack.

It is inexpensive and effective only if I carefully care for the filter. To avoid frequently replacing the sieve, I use a procedure that can extend the life of the filter. When the filter forms a crust, I juicer it for awhile in vinegar water (usually 1 part vinegar to 4 parts water). After waterlogged I carefully rinse the filter several times in fresh water. Then I treat the water with Kaz KWT-8 Humidifier and Vaporizer Distilled water Treatment.

So, after several months, I no longer have a problem with the filter or my humidifier.
I recommend this filter

Bumbling Wicking and Mold
I bought two three packs at the commencement of December for two humidifiers we use throughout the winter months. Within a week; the humidifiers output had decreased and mold began forming at the top of the wicks; we replaced them assessment it may have been due to our not cleaning the humidifier very well; so we cleaned the humidifier, use distilled water and again within a weeks, very dank mephitis and black mold appearing in the wicks. They just do not seem to wick very well and we are now on our last set of wicks - No wonder they supply them in three packs; that's how many you will need! Three in three months is too many; last year we purchased filters from Target (wish I could reward the brand) and they lasted all season with no problems. I do not recommend these filters.

Kaz WF2 Refine
I seem to keep in mind the original instructions were to clean the filter regularly. I don't have a problem with mold or slime climax, but see they have a product for that.

I have very hard water and so quickly get a buildup of minerals left over as the water evaporates. To take off that, I simply pour some vinegar onto the filter from the top, while it's still in the machine. As the crust starts to soften (the vinegar dissolves the crust) I cascade the liquid in the bottom of the machine into the sink, lay the filter down (it will now flatten without breaking) pour some more vinegar on it (very likely 2 cups, total) and let it soak until it stops bubbling. Rinse good with water and it's close to to go again. I've used the same filter for several years. It is now finally disintegrating so I'm buying a new one.

This machine is for the bedroom. I also have a much larger one, extraordinary make, same type filter, large-room size, and use the same procedure for it.
