Vomit-provoking Filter
Bought 3 of these Gracco filters and they all performed inadequately. They do not hold their form and fall apart. Do not Buy!
Chasten on Graco
Graco should be blushing for selling this product as it is now! The filter works ok with the humidifier that it is designed for, but they have chosen to make it CHEAPER in instruction to increase their profit. The quality of the filter they now produce is totally inferior to the one with the blue level. It is now all white and the outer webbing is disintegrating while wet. This obviously means that I will have to replace the filter more often. I use filtered rainwater in the humidifier as my well grade is very hard and in my opinion should not be used in any humidifier. Overall, the Graco humidifier works very well but this new filter is simply worthless!
It hew down apart in a few days, the outside shed off

The facing of the filter shed off a little each day, until there was nothing left. I went to the trash to make sure it was definitely Graco brand. I am thinking maybe it was sitting in a warehouse for quite awhile. The one that came with the humidifier lasted all winter last year.
Lasts a unmixed three days!
I cleaned the segment (Graco 4-gallon cool mist) every day and filled it with water run through a very good quality countertop screen. Even doing this, I went through two of these $11 filters per WEEK (TWENTY-FOUR TIMES as many filters as stated by the producer!), and simply couldn't afford to spend nearly $90 a month (precisely in filters!) to run a humidifier. That is, putting it simply, absolutely insane. Design is faulty -- filtered soda water shouldn't trash a brand-new filter in less than four days. I don't know anyone who could afford $90 a month for humidifier filters.
Mammoth Humidifier! I love it!
This Graco humidifier is at bottom great! It has a nice feature where it shuts off the fan when the desired humidity level is reached, then comes back on when it senses it went down. It also has a pacific fan speed too.
It made a "white noise" that was great for sleeping baby!

There was an issue of Graco running out of filters back in Walk. This humidifier is a new product for them and the filters were not to be found anywhere. Happily this should be straightened out by June 2009 or before. I finally found them on Amazon and ordered two. If I wanted the filters I had to pay the exhorbitant toll of nearly $20 for shipping! I complained to Graco and luckily they were happy to refund my shipping payout if I filled out the necessary paper and sent in the UPC and receipt. Graco was wonderful to deal with!

Gratified I Bought It
I bought the Graco because my older, larger humidifier (a Bionaire) had stopped working reliably. I have a child grand piano in my living room and need to keep the humidity higher than that it is normally here in Colorado. Pros: I like the humidistat which seems to be beautiful accurate and even on high, the fan is quiet enough not to be a bother. The smaller size means there are more choices for where I can chair it in the room.

On the minus side: My house is a tri-level so my living room may be more open than most, however when there is a big difference between the surface humidity and what I've set the Graco to, it takes a while to get the room humidity to the reqested level - even with the fan on high. Also, the Graco must be refilled much more habitually than my Bionaire which had two, much larger water tanks (I think they were 5 gallons each) although I must say the Graco refilling process is a heck of a lot easier.

I'll update later when I've found out about the riddle life. All-in-all, I'm happy I bought this product and would recommend it to anyone.
Very Gratified with My Unit
I bought this as a replacement for a very be like unit several months ago. I was a little leery of purchasing this humidifier based on the experiences of others who complained of a vulgar odor after about two weeks of use. I have had my humidifier in constant use for the last 8 weeks and I have had no problem with odor from the unit. I have been using Holmes Humidifier Bacteriostat each dated that I fill the tank. I use this with each of the three humidifiers in the house and I have never had a problem with odor in any of them (two with filters and one without).

Overall, this is a fine unit that has worked very well to humidy the take in. It has several setting from a quiet mode to a very high humidity yield mode. We have found that we are much more comfortable in the morning when the humidiers are running -- no more waking up with winter morning nose (tenderness and congestion in the nose and sinuses resulting from dry air).

Holmes Humidifier Bacteriostat - 32 oz.
Beat it working after 2 months
I'm unquestionably disappointed with this humidifier. It stopped working after two months (I turn it on and nothing happens). During the momentary period of time that it WAS working, it did very little to elevate the humidity in a single small leeway. Also, the hygrometer that is built into the humidifier is not accurate. It showed a much higher humidity percentage than was shown on a dear quality free-standing (properly calibrated) hygrometer that I also kept in the room. It is way too high-priced to operate so poorly and last such a short time. I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Dominant design flaw but OK after hack
PROS:

- Big tank capacity
- Efficiently and quickly raise humidity
- Good digital restrain (after hack
- Does not produce white dust
- good price

CONS:

- Unimaginable design flaw in my unit: the humidity sensor is located INSIDE the unit! Truly measuring the humidity level above the wick which is obviously always high. Without modification the digital mastery is totally useless. See workaround below.
- As mentioned in other reviews, the wick that comes with the machine falls besides very quickly (had to replace mine after a week). But it seems the replacement wicks are much better. I don't know if they changed the scheme but I have had the new wick for several months now and it's in good shape (I use distilled water with about ten drops of unscented whiten per tank)
- Sensor in my unit reads 10% higher than a calibrated hygrometer.

Workaround for sensor taint:
Option A: Continuously blow air on the sensor with a fan. This ensures the sensor actually senses ambient humidity.
Privilege B: Remove the sensor from the unit and insert an extension cable. Place the sensor in a less irrational setting!

Upper-class IN CLASS
The Graco 4 gallon mechanically maintains the humidity level you set, it's quiet, easy to fill and doesn't wet its surroundings. If you follow directions it's odorless. Who could ask for more.

Admirable for Evaporation Humidifiers

I purchased this sift for my Graco home humidifier. I regularly performed operational maintenance on my humidifier, including washing the gauze. Despite the maintenance the filter slowly became discolored from the natural pollutants and minerals contained in my not be sensible. This Graco Filter helped solve my problem.

I carefully care for the filter. To elude frequently replacing the filter, I use a procedure that can extend the life of the filter. When the drip forms a crust, I soak it for awhile in vinegar water (usually 1 part vinegar to 4 parts excessively). After soaking I carefully rinse the filter several times in fresh water.

The Graco humidifier that I use is an dehydration style machine. To work properly, the "filter" must be free of pollutants, as the machine adds moisture to the air by having a fan detonate air through the sponge type filter (exactly like the "swamp coolers" so popular in parched climates). Clogs decrease effectiveness and add pollutants to the air in the room being used. Thus, in addition to carefully maintaining the filter, I add KAZ Humidifier Bacteriostatic Treatment to the reservoir to nip in the bud the growth of bacterial agents. (KAZ Humidifier Bacteriostatic Treatment

When properly maintained, the Graco Humidifier Replacement membrane strain is an excellent product. I recommend this filter for evaporation humidifiers.

Care- better purchase the True Air filter instead
I purchased this Graco clarify for my True Air humidifier because the Graco humidifier is identical to my True Air (with the obvious Graco label slapped on as contrasted with). As another reviewer already indicated, this filter is horrible and does not perfom like the Unwavering Air filters. I purchased this filter at BRU because that is where I got the humidifier and I cannot find the filters at any other brick and mortar store. First, the sieve is entirely white, lacking the silver lining on the outside like the box picture positively shows. The True Air filters always had a blue lining on the outside of the mainly white seep. Second, after ONE nightly use it was already brown in spots. I can use my filter for several weeks, by following the manufacturer's instructions to run the humidifier after the Facetious Adam's ale container is empty, to dry out the filter before storage. Finally, the filter did not get wet as the True Air filter did. Only the bottom got wet. Even when I pushed it into the not hold up under receptacle more firmly, the filter still became wet on just the bottom, rendering this filter completely useless in my perception.

Don't waste your money on this brand.
Doesn't line as well
I have the Hamilton Beach Truthful Air Cool Mist humidifier and these Graco filters don't work nearly as well as the Hamilton Beach filters. They don't let as much low-hanging cloud in the air so it's not nearly as effective. I don't like them.
Resulting but somewhat expensive
We have well adulterate that must be pretty dirty because I could replace this filter every two weeks using our humidifer at night only. It is a not much expensive to have to replace so often, but it does its job and I have no compliants.
steep
I would not advocate this humidifier if you are looking for a good value. It does work okay, but the filters requirement to be replaced every two weeks, which really adds up! I do like the white noise the machine makes because it seems to pacify our baby to sleep. In the end, however, I wouldn't buy this again simply because of the cost.

Disinclined it!!!
Purchased this humidifier to rate in my son's big boy room. He had the Crane Frog in his nursery, which is now used for his little sister. I have suspicions that the dribble is getting my son sick. I also am disgusted w/ the fact that I have poured water down the back of the dresser & into the outlet many times while varying the water. If it does not sit properly on the filter, this happens. I consider myself a very smart and savvy nurse, so it is definitely a poor product. I have just ordered another Crane Humidifier for his reside & will throw this one out immediately!!!!
Very Thundering and Filters Don't Last
I bought this for my infant son when he got his first biting. It was a good price, but I found out later why. The quiet setting is anything but. It sounds like a hair dryer is on-going even on this setting. After only a few days, the filter (which sets in a pool of water) starts to get moldy. You either have to spatter the filter every few days or replace the filter every week or so. The filter replacements are not cheap at $6 each. I advocate spending a bit more money and getting something that will last and not make your child sick from mold.
Spongy and Loud
I bought this outcome without doing research first. My mistake, I know. I was attracted to the quiet feature as stated on the box;"restrictive quiet setting emits soothing white noise to help baby have a zizz...," and it was small enough to place in the corner, out of the way. I was sold and took my new favorite product placid. When I filled it, the water leaked from the back where the electrical cord was. "Ok," I thought, "don't move it too much." But actually who wants water leaking on the electrical cord? I dried it off and plugged it in. I turned the handle to high and it sounded like a hair dryer on the highest setting about to burn up. I switched it to the "repose quiet down" setting and it sounded like a sick moose sucking its last breath. So the "exclusive quiet site" was not emitting such a soothing white noise as advertised and I felt like a sucker. So Graco Unsympathetic Mist Humidifier, you fooled me once but never again. If it is your intention to sell sucky products to suckers you have won this outspoken, but I can always return it and get my money back and that is what I am doing today. So thank you Cool Mist Humidifier for sucking to the trait that I got off my lazy behind this Saturday morning and wrote my frustrations here instead of smashing your piece of litter product on the floor.
It's your customary humidifier (only cuter)
Okay, so it's not a wonderful humidifier, but it does a great job and it looks a lot better than most other humidifiers. I live in CO where the weather is really, as a matter of fact dry and these things are a MUST. One draw back is that you need to replace the filter every month or so. I should probably change it more often, but I can only seem to find the replacement filters online.
shocking humidifier
I have hand-me-down this humidifier several times and it is terrible. It leaks, is very loud, and the filter begins to get moldy after a day. I am now wealthy to purchase a different humidifier.

The best himself to ask is probably your local pharmacist..and don't worry about wasting his or her once in a while, with all the training and skills these people have they are rarely asked to share in their knowledge except in France where they are generally regarded as a sort of lesser doctor who you go to first.
