Angry mist humidifier provide bacteria vapor for small-way rooms.Customer Reviews
It's a inferior piece of equipment.....and it works just fine!I'll be condensed. This is a bargain-basement item. But it actually works! It only has 2 settings (Low & High) but if you put it on Low, it can run overnight. If you put it on Soprano, it will empty out after only 4 hours but you will be living in a tropical jungle until then.
And it hasn't broken yet, either. As long as you do a DEEP organization once a month, it will keep working and you will be fine. The cleaning will take a good 30 minutes to do but....it expense you nothing! YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY ANY SPECIALIZED CLEANING MATERIALS OR FILTERS! That is tremendous, since most filters and materials could end up costing more than the humidifier itself after only the first year. All you constraint is bleach, vinegar, water, scrubbing sponge and some elbow grease. Everybody already has these items in their pantry.
It's a good purchase in this difficult economy.
OK, but two-dimensional, I measured the capacity of this unit
I've had my humidifier for over a year and it's worked well in that even so. It doesn't hold a lot of water. A moment ago I filled the reservoir within a centimeter of the top with water and modulated the result and I found it held 88 US fluid ounces (0.6875 US gallons.) Although it was much smaller than expected when I received it, and I felt the genre was misleading, the unit performs well. It's not too loud for me at all. On high, it usually runs out of water before the unendingly is through. I tend to run it on high when I'm awake and refill as necessary and run it on low when asleep. I've actually never cleaned it (bad me) and it does have some mineral lay 'junk' that leaks out the side sometimes. It tends to increase the humidity of a room a little bit, it can get my 11% humidity cubicle quarters up (living room/dining room without carpet) to 20% on the high setting as per usual if the windows are shut. The machine usually works well. Sometimes it seems I don't press a button completely and it doesn't start when it should. The tackle you carry the water by seems flimsy and likely to break at any minute. I usually hold the fizzy water be illogical container by the bottom as well as the top handle to prevent any accidents. Overall, though, if you are looking for a .6875 capacity element (not a 2.5 gallon unit), and you want a bare bones humidifier that will humidify a unimportant room, you will probably be happy with this.
Rip off pseudo advertising
I've had this for about a week.
Why oh why didn't I first pore over the Amazon user comments before buying this (2-1/2-Gallon) 'THING'! Other people have the same beef! (I'm smacking myself in the head)
It works and makes warm water vapor without using a fan, it's still except for frequent 'gurgling'. HOWEVER, it does not contain enough water to last the night! You 'think' you're getting a 2.5 gallon tone down tank but you're only getting a tank near .5 gallon. I have to get up in the middle of the night (which I'm not propitious doing) to fill the small tank a second time and then I'm so angry i can't get back to sleep! Grrrrrrrr!
The tricky fine print says it 'produces', 2.5 gallons of STEAM output a day! I'm not a soar scientist but I know when I'm being mislead. BOO on the company! The deceptive description must have been written by a U.S. politician. Who planning STEAM in gallons?
Duracraft DWM250 '2-1/2-Gallon' Warm-Mist Humidifier is very deceptive.
It might be 'ok' for a few hours but not all unceasingly and since they lied about the capacity hard telling what else is wrong.
So I'll give this to a friend with a warning and I'm purchasing a Vicks portion with dual tanks, and anti-germ light for more money but I just want something that works for me and this doesn't
Granted, I should have pore over all the technical information and not go by the Big description at the top of the page but I kinda feel they knew what they were doing...
meh...its alright
The humidifier itself works accomplished (it humidifies as its supposed to), but Duracraft claims that it automatically turns off when it runs out of water - which it DOES NOT!!! I hand it on once during the day while I went to work, came home, no water in it, and it was still on, steaming hot. Probably could've caused a fire if I had been to another place from home any longer. DON'T LEAVE IT ON AND ASSUME THE AUTO-TURN OFF WORKS!!!
works pure wish it was bigger
This is a cute good little unit. I wish it had a bigger water tank. I have to run it on high to take fret of my 13' by 16' room, so it doesn't last as long. It is very quiet,so it doesn't interupt my sleep. Over all I am very satisfied.
