Made Big Rest
For the guerdon, it's a very good whole house humidifier. It's dry in Arizona where we live, and my spouse had problems with dry nasal membranes that caused allegy-like symptoms. The humidifer has made a tremendous contrariety dispute, putting at least five gallons of moisture into the living area every day. The house interior temperature seems more amiable than before, even with the AC set at 80 degrees.
It does take some effort re-filling the 2.5 gallon tank (weighing around 20 lbs.), but that would be conventional of any large humidifier. Bacterial-static solution to prevent algae, mold, etc. must also be supplementary with each re-fill.
My only complaint is that it's really noisy at any speed beyond the minimum speed, which we usually use. There is also a very subtle vibration r that is barely noticeable. Even at low speed, it might not be appropriate for use in a bedroom for anyone who is a light sleeper. However, the noise (on nadir speed) is not that noticeable elsewhere. I would purchase this product again.

Humidifier is okay not foolproof how long it will last.
The work is okay. I have been running it non stop for 2 months. Cheaply made, floater gets stuck so sometimes you have to harm the humidifier so it will turn on after refilling.

A Torment to Fill!
I bought this constituent as a second humidifier. I thought having 2 would allow me to keep the humidity higher and refill less often. This was a scrupulous looking unit, 3 speeds, 12-gallon output, and 5-gallon intellect. It wasn't difficult to put together but filling it was a nightmare! There is a single 2.5-gallon water hold back that is too tall to fit under most faucets. This is where the hose from hades comes in. You attach one end to the water faucet and put out the other end into the water bottle and fill it up...sounds simple doesn't it...it's not. The hose comes straight out of the box with kinks in it. When you ascribe it to the faucet & turn the water on, a single kink will send a spray of water from the faucet end put in order into your face. You have to massage the kinks out while running the water practically at a trickle to stay dry & get the sauce a contain filled. It take twice as long to fill the bottle than it should. You then pour the water into the unit and start all over to fill the sauce a contain a second time before placing it into the unit. I was so annoyed by the time I finished I had already decided to send it back. I stressed out it, dismantled it, packed it back into the box & sent it back the next day. I then ordered the Essick 821000. This was the first humidifier I bought the year before. It has a 6-gallon tank condition & an open reservoir with no bottles. I use 2-gallon buckets to fill it and it is quick & simple. It is inexpensive and little enough to fit in narrow spaces. I would recommend the 821000 over any model with bottles & hoses.

We had never had a humidifier before and chose this one on the advocacy of friends and because we thought it looked better than any others we saw. It has made a big difference in our home and both my husband and I have noticed that our noses and decorticate are less dry. We feel we made a good pruchase.

works but for how crave?
Essick Air H12-400 3 Does it drudgery: yes. Should you buy it? Maybe. It is hard to imagine how such a product could be designed and manufactured more cheaply. If I get one more than one season out of it I will be surprised. It makes me sad that American manufacturing has been decimated to the point up that we have to tolerate so many cheaply made foreign products. With a bigger motor and more substantial construction this fallout could last many years.

Very seemly cold air humidifier for winter above the frost line or in dry living area.
I would propose this variable speed humidifier, since it has two 2.5 gallon holding tanks, with a filter, two break off variable speed controls, one for humidity levels, with a thermastat humidity control, and the other deflection, controls the fan speed, which runs quiet, and the benefit is a humid living environment, with a fixed operation, that does not have to be filled twice a day where the holding tank is one, with a usual one to two gallon tot up holding capacity. Bought new and would recommend.

Does the job, bottles not interchangeable
I received this a join days ago and so far so good. The humidity has gone from 40 to 50% in our house and it is much more comfortable. We do have a humidifier built into our oven, but the high-efficiency furnaces just aren't on long enough to put out much water.

One caveat on this element design with the angled corners - the right and left bottles are not interchangeable. With a rectangular classification unit, when the right bottle empties you can switch the full left one to the right, fill the empty bottle and put it in the sinistral. This way you were constantly cycling through fresh water fills while only needing to refill one bottle at a lifetime. With this angle corner design unit, you really need to allow both bottles to empty, or at least replenish both when you do refill in order to ensure fresh water is always feeding in. This also can cause waste of any antibacterial d being used.

Other than that, works great and I would recommend.

Trash Humidifier
This came with a 2 inch opus of tape on the bottom of the shipping box. I don't know how it made it here. We opened it up and it is damaged, of course. The lid will not fit on the product. I am so disappointed in this. Now, what a wreck it is going to be to return it, even if we can. Cheap product, I say. Do not buy this item.

meagre quality
ON the together with side the unit is capable of putting a lot of moisture into the air. In the first 24 hours of running it put almost 15 gallons out.

The negatives cock up fast mostly due to poor finish quality.
1) The stain on the top cover has drip marks on it and portions of it look like a chemical was spilled on it removing its luster.
2) The back of the piece is not stained but is white and in the directions its says to leave the unit 4" from any wall which means you do see the back of the component. The hinges on the back which hold the cover in place and stick up were not painted and they are clearly visible.
3) The piece is made of plastic which is to be expected. However the panels of the unit are so thin that they were all warped. The top is ill fitting at best and the front panel has a sunny bow to it.
4) Its loud on anything more then the lowest settings you cannot carry on a conversation on the telephone in the same room with it.

To sum up: It looks like throw away but humidifies well.
I'm off to go find a place to hide this from sight. Wish it was as pretty as the picture.

Not bad
This element had very good reviews and following those I purchased the it. It works very well and the only problem I had was with the floating wick. This shuts the comfort off when the water reaches a low limit not to burn the motor out. Well, not being an expert on these, the plastic wick had a slow bend and I had to heat and bend it straight. I had to contact customer service and they were very helpful and sent me pics to see how the wick system was presumed to look. On that I am happy with the performance of the system and recommend it. Its quite and dont need to fill so often. The anti-bacterial treatment is not needed and favourable old scrubbing will clean this well.

Talented theory, poor design
I've had this humidifier for about two months now, and I'm disenchanted.

First off, the device to shut the unit off when it's empty is very, very poorly designed--that is to say, it doesn't work. I've tried any legions of different ways to put the lid on to get this thing in place. The only way I've found to get the machine to turn back on after taking the lid off is to give it a good, provable "techical tap" to jiggle the auto shutoff lever.

The good news is that you can refill the humidifier without compelling the lid off. The bad news is that if you don't refill it in time, the only way to reset or override the auto shutoff is--you guessed it--a unspoilt, solid thwack.

Given the number of times I've had to hit this machine, I guess I shouldn't be surprised that my motor now makes a very understandable putt-putt sound.

Other assorted complaints I have with this humidifier:
-The high setting sounds like a blow or a jet engine. Overkill much?
-The filters seem to only last for a month or so.

That said, I really like that I can just reverberation the thing over to my sink and fill it with a hose. This is by far the easiest humidifier I've had to refill. I just wish I didn't have to ill-treatment it to make it turn on.

Frank to use & fill
I didn't cotton on to how much I liked this humidifier until I bought a different one! I bought one of thes a year ago and chose it because of the cost and the large capacity (6 gallons) and what appeared to be a simple filling method. It was acquiescent to fill, and the digital display and controls are simple. It is supposed to cover 1700 square feet but I sooner decided I would like to have a second humidifier to keep the humidity higher and refill less frequently. I solid to add the Essick Air H12-400 3-speed humidifier as my second one. It was a nightmare to fill! I'll save the details for my reconsideration of that model. I packed it up & sent it back the next day and ordered another Essick 821000. I use 2 2-gallon buckets to fill this section & it is very simple and quick. No bottles or hoses to worry about. Since I have 2 I don't have to refill as often. The high setting is a elfin loud but I only us it at night or when I'm not home to get the humidity up quickly. I always us a bacterial water treatment for humidifiers so I never have toadstool or odors. This unit is also narrow so it fits between pieces of furniture or in an inconspicuous place in the compartment. I recommend it over any model with bottles and hoses!

Very Attractive thorough large humidifier
I've been using a staggering whole house or console humidifier for about 5 years. This is by far the easiest to refill out of any I have owned.


Pros-
Very Foolproof to refill - No screw caps or tanks to carry.
Quiet in low mode
Large qualify reserve

Cons-
Lid is hard to get on right. Takes some time and patience, but you don't have to take it off to refill the piece.
It is loud on the high setting.

Rattling tough is unbearable
This humidifier is handy to refill, easy to use. The problem is that the fan/motor rattles most of the time, and the noise is unbearable. The noise persists on both low and high speeds. When the rattling stops, the sound is very tolerable, but the quiet does not last. In motion the unit from tile to linoleum made no difference. The Sears models are much quieter.

Another problem is that the screen was in place rather than in a sterile package, so it was dirty on arrival.

Useful but cheap
This element might be a fine humidifier but the fit and finish of the components is horrible. The casters are almost impossible to seat nicely, in fact I broke one and am now trying to get a replacement. It may work but I would not buy this again.

This faction does the job.
Up here in the astute north it is essential to have humidifier if you have musical instruments, or anything made out of nice wood. I have tried several distinguishable options, and evaporative humidifiers are the best. This one has enough nice features to warrent an excellent rating. The brute great feature is that it is easy to add water to the system. The tanks remove easily, and can be filled from the scullery sink (they are too tall for filling in a bathroom sink). In the dead of winter upon to fill it daily, but fortunately this is big enough to only need filling once per day. Other nice features include a fan speed command (pump humidity in fast because you were gone all weekend and its dry), or quiet. At low speed settings you only know its on. I also like the optional air cleaning evaporator. It apparently slows down air flow, but that seems trivial since the fan can just be turned up.
