Description
The Air-O-Swiss Ultrasonic Genial Mist Humidifier uses high-frequency vibration to originate a micro-fine mist. It has a built-in hygrostat and an output regulator knob. Ours is 3 yrs old and effective strong
I've worn a number of humidifiers over the years - all hard to clean, and quick to break. The Air-O-Swiss is exceptional! Well merit the price.
We've used it for 3 years now, every night and sometimes during the day. It might help that we've always used distilled water, or bottled Maytime water in a pinch. No tap water. It's easy to clean. We replace the filter every 9 months or so, along with the ion consolidate.
We've had no dust and no water damage from it. It is quiet. Best of all, it has reduced our sinus problems. Before getting this humidifier, I habituated to to get bronchitis at least once a year, and am convinced sleeping in humidified air has helped. Even coughing colds are not as large-lasting or frequent.
Highly recommend! If ours ever stops working, will definitely be buying another.

Works in Chicago winters
The AOS 7135 was bought as a replacement for a humidifier that did not come together my wife's needs. We have used it from Fall through Spring in Chicago to humidify a large slave-driver bedroom. It works great for us.
Maintenance details in our climate:
+ Holds enough water for a vespers all the time during our dry winters. During Fall and Spring we get two nights per filling.
+ The filter canister has lasted a full year with borough water, which is soft.
+ Standard weekly maintenance is less than a five minute process.
We would definitely buy this merchandise again.

I well-grounded bought this humidifier with high hopes from all the great reviews. I unpacked it excited to use it. First instructions are to pre-juicer the cartridge for a full 24 hours so there is no using it the first night. The next day, I was really excited and put it all together. The tank isn't the easiest to fill but it could be worse. I turned it on and was impressed by all the steam. I had a pygmy trouble figuring out all the buttons but I need to sit down and read the instructions further. I tried for warm steam up but it is NOT warm by any means. Then again, this may just be my defective unit. The next morning I noticed the carpet (3 feet below) was somewhat wet. I shrugged it off and moved it to my child's vanity. The next morning not only was the carpet soaked but the vanity and everything on it. Papers, markers, her butterfly lamp, diapers, ughhhhh. So I put a towel under it. When I checked on it a few hours later the towel was soaked. I had removed the fill tank so I now knew it was the evil-minded leaking. I inspected it and traced it to a small hole that is supposed to be in the unit. I don't know why it is potential out from there. There are several holes at the bottom and just one of them is pouring out this water. Now I have to go through the trouble of returning it and cleaning up a big mess!

Worst ever!
We ran this module for barely 4 months after we moved into our new home in very arid Santa Fe, NM and it left a white overlay/powder all over EVERYTHING! Not just over EVERYTHING, but also INSIDE of everything! We had to have the fan in our TV replaced, which made a horrible noise after 2 months because of the white mistiness build-up , had to have our printers professionally cleaned, upon which the tech asked if we were pottery makers because there seemed to be a thick level of white clay on the inside of our printers! This humidifier ruined everything in our 3,500 sq ft house! Nothing seemed to be out of reach for this "Gob-like" plague! The carpet surrounding the until was disgustingly infused, and dusting the surfaces of everything in our building was like pressure-washing gum off a New York sidewalk! Fuggedaboudit!!!
I recommend the VENTA AIR WASHER - yes, it's incredibly priceless, but it's SO simple to clean, actually washes the air by attracting dust into it, and it humidifies... an stunning product well worth it's price.
DO NOT BUY THIS AIR-O-SWISS dust bomb!!!

Of course THE Best!
As a expert singer, I've been using humidifiers for the past 10 yrs and it has been my mission and challenge to find out what the best humidifier would be. I've most often gone with lower priced models, anywhere from the standard Vick's that you can find at any pharmacy to a Sears ideal, to many others that I have gone through. All have been problematic in their own ways (expensive to replace filters all the time, time uncontrollable to clean, parts are cheap and don't last, filterless models get moldy...). Even my vocal bus could not recommend any that he knew of that were any better than the rest. After going through 2 more Vick's humidifiers in the last 6 months (the cheaper one being the one that lasted - the putative 'filterless' $65 one was complete, moldy garbage) in desperation I started doing more and more inspection and happened upon Air-O-Swiss. Hesistant to take the plunge after all of the years of disappointment & little to no guidance, I clear to do it after noting the terrific warranty this unit carries. I bought the full package complete w/maintenance supplies, replacement filters, extra silver ion stick, etc. (note that the bond is void if you use anything other than the cleaning solution Air-O-Swiss sells exclusively). I've used it for about 2 months now and can creditably say that it is THE best I have ever seen or experienced, even in a professional vocal studio. It makes absolutely no ruckus at all, and the mist is fine, cool and full of moisture - and you SEE it, which is also a plus above the other humidifiers that claim 'invisible mist' - straighten out, because they hardly produce any! The unit will shut itself off when the room is at full humidity, then turn back on again when needed. I've noticed none of the chaste powder 'dust' that some complain about (I fill it with regular Los Angeles tap water), and I have it sitting on a black velvet the religious ministry. It is extremely easy to clean, and I usually do it once every 2 weeks instead of once a week like the other brands - even then, the component does not look 'scaly' or moldy or have any kind of smell at all (thanks to the ion stick). I've never had my allowance nor my vocal cords be this hydrated, this quickly - even my skin feels and looks fantastic. The entity looks beautiful and subtle in any room with its black/grey design. Just be unfailing to have it elevated to at least chest-height so that the mist will disperse properly. Highly recommended!

Gold bars Membrane Disintegrated within 2 Weeks
I had the commodity about 2 weeks, and decided to clean it, according to the provided maintenance manual. I've noticed that the gold ingots paint on the membrane was in very poor condition and small chips of gold paint were all over. However, the enchiridion says the membrane should be cleaned with the soft provided brush. So I did. That completely destroyed the gold bars paint layer and the device is not producing vapor any more. The most annoying thing is that the warranty is valid only if the purchased gimmick is registered within 10 days of the purchase, which I had not done (didn't have time to read everything that came with the inclination). I've just sent email to the support and asked for help with this... We'll see. In the meantime, DO NOT BUY THIS Fancy UNTIL THE COMPANY CLEARLY STATES THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED. Further, I find annoying that the warranty is invalid without registration. Perhaps we should be buying from a crowd that has more confidence in their products?
Update: 2 weeks later, I'm still waiting for the problem to be resolved. After a lot of explaining (I done up roughly an hour on the phone and sending emails), they told me someone would contact me and tell me how to printout the shipping description (for return). A week has passed and nobody contacted me...
While I'm waiting to solve the return, I'd also like to remark on how the device was working, while it was working. The device is fairly quiet itself, but the water is occasionally bubbling, which can be garish. They could have solved this differently to avoid the bubbling. I had no problems with white dust some other reviewers announcement, but that might be due to the softness of the tap water I'm using. The vapor does have kind-of metallic/plastic effluvium, but it's almost undetectable unless you are very close to the vapor, so that didn't bother me too much. The design is quite operating, but I haven't managed to fill the tank without spilling some water around, because the tank is immersed into the base, which always contains some D. Thus, if you take the tank off, the water drips off it. I haven't checked how precise the built-in hygrometer is, but I found the contrivance reliably switching off and on according to the desired humidity setting. So, although I can't comment on the absolute fastidiousness of the hygrometer, the relative precision seems to be fine. If the device were actually working, I'd give it 3.5, perhaps 4 stars. But because it is not working, I'd proffer you wait until Air-O-Swiss announces on their website that they have reliably fixed the membrane problem. The returns are very recently too much hassle.

Works indeed well
I've had it for a year and only distress it during the winter, so it may have had roughly 6+ months of usage total.
I've had no trouble with it so far.
The silver antibacterial band was doing fine until just now when I noticed black fuzz growing in the water and around the ultrasonic vibrator at the bottom (where the film comes out of). Up until this time, I'd done nothing to the water to prevent it and never descaled it, so I consider to be really good vs other humidifiers I've had.

Crucial humidifier, Great Value!
I purchased the under control mist ultrasonic humidifier because my apartment gets so dry in the winter time. I already tried one of those other humidifiers that works by a fan blowing up against a drip that absorbs water from a tank. Unfortunately that humidifier was more trouble than it was worth; it required invariable cleaning, made too much noise, and really didn't humidify the room as well as it could have.
I was pleasantly surprised by this limited humidifier! It was silent, sent out a visible fog of water particles, and efficiently went through an full tank of water. In just one night of usage I was already breathing easier, felt my husk rejuvenated, and slept better. I would recommend this humidifier to anyone.

Nonpareil product
I tried a a handful of filter-less humidifiers to no avail. They're cheaper but demand a LOT more maintenance, and simply don't work!
This pretty point does not only look sexy as hell, but it also keeps my dry-ass bedroom totally moist (yeah, I said it, Humid!) and breathable. It's really easy to refill and the controls are very good.
For this price point, this is an awesome acceptance. Go Air-o-Swiss!

Works clear.....I think.
Utilized this a few times and not sure if it really works or not. I usually end up wiping the base of the humidifier out with Clorox wipes anyway. I may ban buying it because I don't really see that it makes that much of a difference especially if you try to keep up with the cleaning schedule of the humidifier.....every two weeks. These could be a bit costly for that.

I familiar one of these packets that came with my humidifier and was not pleased with the result, I haven't used these yet but wanted to give it another try as it is the only "experienced cleaning product" On the flip side I probably should have used the cleaner sooner than I did, which could be the reason that it didn't travail so well.

Not as sufficient as the bagged stuff.
I have acclimatized only one of these cartridges, but it kept shutting down the humidifier. When I called the help line (1-800-336-0326) the refined lady insisted that I try to remove a few tablespoons of the granules and try it again. This made the unit run longer between stops, so I removed almost partially of the granules, but it still stopped. This updated product seems to be self-clogging. I put the old style refill granules in the videotape and now it works fine again.
Hint to refill: put a paper towel in the center opening of the videotape and pour the granules in around it. When they get to the top just tap the cartridge up and down to settle the granules. Then remove the paper towel.

Not reliable it's reducing dust . . .
Peradventure I should try my Air-o-Swiss 7135 without the cartridge, because I still get plenty of dust. I'd like to see how much I get *without* the filter.
For me it was no problem using the restock packs as opposed to the new cartridge. Just dump out the old and dump in the new with the extra parts included. Plainly worth the savings.

Remarkable product
I am hellishly happy with the Air-O-Swiss humidifer. It is easy to clean, humidifies well and the water demineralization cheesecloth is a big plus. I've seen no signs of white mineral dust I have seen with other humidifiers. I haven't acquainted with it for it's projected 3 month life span yet, but so far so good after 3 weeks.

tank extravasate after four months
Tank began to revelation where it is attached to base at the beginning of second season (fifth month). Called Air-O-Swiss fellow service directly. Tank warranty....three months. Want granule replacement, not tot up cartrige replacement......out of stock. What does "replace after one year" mean? One available or twelve months. Response, "one season", (four months). "Once the silverstick dries out, it is deactivated."
It was suggested that I use the intensify option because it would sterilize the water.How hot does it get! Doesn't that use a lot more wattage?........."No" Actually it uses like three times more, and taking about sterilization.
Can't handle a large room. But it is quiet,water lasts 12 hours, agreeably looking.
Where can I buy Air-Swiss locally.....Central New York ?

Gear to Have Replacement on Hand
I like to have back ups of replacement products on hand. This way, when you necessity to replace the Silver Stick, you don't have to worry about ordering it and waiting for the arrival. It does what it is expected to do in the AIR-O-SWISS unit I have. Not sure if it works in anything else, though.

Shipping Miscalculation
This was the first in good time always I placed an order with Grady's Online. Grady's split my order into two orders. I received the first proclamation for the demineralization cartridge without a problem. The second order for the replacement Ionic Silver Walking-stick was a different story. The order for both items was place online on April 11th. After waiting absolutely a while I finally received the second order, on April 22nd, but they sent me the wrong item. When I called, on April 22nd, they said they would send out the offset item and a shipping label to mail back the wrong item. On May 1st I called Grady's again to inquire about where my deficient shipment was. Grady's finally shipped the second item on May 4th, almost a month after placing the statute. The prepaid shipping label was not included as promised. A few days later Grady's sent an penitence letter along with the shipping label. Even though their price was good I wouldn't order from them again.

I recently purchase one without an instruction guide but after searching the internet, I guess air-o-swiss doesn't have a website where I can download the instructions. Any ideas?

Maintenance
Grade conditions will dictate the amount of maintenance and cleaning required. Using strict water with a lot of minerals will require more frequent demineralization tape changes and unit cleaning. The design and features of the Air-O-Swiss Humidifier provides a system that requires much less subvention and has lower operating costs when compared to other humidifier systems.
Upkeep Procedures
Every two weeks check the unit base for any deposits. Unadulterated any deposits around the titanium disc with the provided brush. Use a blend of white vinegar and warm water in a 1:2 relationship to help remove deposits.
Replace the demineralization videotape every 2-3 months, depending on water conditions. More reiterative changes may be needed for hard water (high mineral happy) conditions.
Replace the Ionic Silver Stick® once a year.
