Cycles Off/On, Violent Electric Usage for the Water Collected
I inured to this Haier for almost two months then took it back. I was sorely disappointed in the amount of water extracted. I live in Georgia where 60-70%addition humidity is not unusual in the summer. My 14 year old Sears dehumidifier was used downstairs while this new Haier went upstairs ... both are 45 pints... the Sears infested the bucket three times as fast as the Haier... This unit might have a energy star rating but it is bootless if the unit run continuously but extract a paltry amount of water. NOT recommended.

Run from Haier
My Haier dehumidifier stopped collecting excessively a week after the 12 month warranty expired. Haier customer service was extremely unhelpful. My state person told me it will cost more to fix the unit than it is worth. If you only need a dehumidifier unit to m for a short period, Haier would be an adequate choice. Otherwise run away from this brand and spend a few extra dollars now for something that will last.

Don't buy Haier~
Don't buy... Haier has a D- rating (is a lower one feasible??) at the New York, New York Better Business Bureau due to complaints about defective products not being responded to. Our HD306 dehumidifier, purchased in April 2007, no longer collects moisture unprejudiced like similar reviewers have noted. When Haier responded to me they said, perhaps not unreasonably, that I had to pay to have the dehumidifier's conundrum diagnosed and then they might send the parts needed. I think Haier could have done better; I'd recommend buying something from a opposite manufacturer. Why risk warranty hassles for something that might fail after only two summers' use?
Don't buy Haier
I purchased a Haier 45 pint dehumidifier on December 29, 2008. It discontinue working on January 3,2010. I took it to a repair shop on March 15, 2010, where they discovered that the control constituent was bad, and it was no longer available from Haier or anywhere else. I called Haier to see if they would make it right, and was told my warrenty was up so I was out of luck, so I had to discard it. A $200.00 appliance junk after 1 year. I'll never buy anything Haier again.

Owned for three years
This dehumidifier has worked unambiguously since I purchased it three years ago. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and have no complaints. I researched all dehumidifiers before I purchased this Haier and depended on reviews like mine to toady up to the final decision. I made the right choice.
Haier HDN305 not wortht the cabbage
We purchased this pattern on May 30, 2008. It seemed to run good last year, but does not work this year. The compressor does not industry. I do not consider dehumidifiers to be disposal products so strongly beleive they should last longer then 1 year.
It should also be noted the component when we bought it said it was energy star. However, when applying for our energy star rebate, we came to find out that it had been removed from the beadroll a more then a year before we purchased it. False advertising if you ask me. When contacting their customer support about that they had NO clue what vivacity star meant. The lady said ALL appliances are required to be energy star. In all dealing with Haier has been a discomfort and I would not buy another one of their products.

VERY Gaudy and broke down a little after a year
Bought mine at quarry. I live in Kansas City where the heat and rain make for humid basements. I plugged this in and the first affair my wife asked me was "What is that sound?" This dehumidifier sounds like you are running a dishwasher 24/7. After a small-minded over a year I noticed that it stopped collecting water even though it sounded like it was working. Unfortunately that meant no undertaking... I won't buy Haier again.

Doesn't employment after 4 months of use
I purchased this component 1 year and 15 days ago and it no longer draws moisture. I have only used the unit about 4 months add up to. Of course it is now out of warranty. Customer service was very nice but all they could suggest is for me to find someone to service the unit. If the mind-boggler was in the "sealed" part, they would cover parts and I would be responsible for labor. Forget it. I feel like it would be throwing to another place good money after bad. I would recommend looking for another company though it seems challenging to find any dehumifier that works for more than a year or two.

Add up to junk. Don't waste your money
I wish I had presume from all the negative reviews this company gets before wasting my money and time. The first unit worked for about 5 months, then it obviously stopped gathering water. The unit looked like it was working, so I did not notice the emotionally upset right away, until I checked the the bucket which was dry as a bone. Tried all kinds of things to no avail. Contacted consumer service to get a replacement, and the guy on the phone did not even let me finish describing the problem... He already knew the constituent was broken and proceeded to give me instructions for getting a replacement. He totally sounded like he had confirmed the same instructions hundreds of times. I was blown away when he told me they did not want me to send the education ESN 'educationally subnormal' unit back. All I needed to do was to cut off about 8" from the power cord and mail it, along with my receipt and a check for $14 to charge the shipping of a refurbished replacement unit. They consider the units basically disposable and not value shipping back.
The replacement unit arrived about a month later and it worked fine... for about two months. Then it did the same severe thing as the previous one, and a few days later the fan started making a loud noise. Now I'm out of commitment and have two huge paper weights waiting to be taken to the dump. But I have learned one thing... Never again buy a Haier produce!
