air cleaner
i bought this with the hopes of open space the bedroom air of allergens that keep my nose constantly clogged up. this unit did not help my allergies but it does take odors out of the air and is very lull.

Superiority as promised
This leach is quiet and efficient. I was concerned about the reviews that mentioned how loud the unit was. I find it very quiet. Set on van it stays on quiet mode. When it detects an odor or poor air quality it kicks up the power, as per usual only to low or medium, handles the problem air quality and then kicks right back down to quiet mode.

This airpurifier WORKS !
(I'm contemporary to try and use a paucity of words but be informative. LOL !)

MY PROBLEM:

Six year Granddaughter's eyes would begin to char after her being here 1-2 hours. My eyes also burned some.

I have three dogs and (my steel trap mind) immediately suspected pet dander.

MY Denouement:

I have a small entry foyer with a doggie door through the storm door leading skin and a doggie door through the main door into my home. I bought a Surround Air S3500 for that small compass because that unit moves about twice as much air (CFM) as the XJ3800 and will capture heavier contaminantes such as pet hair. The higher (CFM) air action of the S3500 creates more noise but I don't care as that noise is outside earshot.

SURROUND AIR XJ3800.....put the XJ3800 in the den where most (waking) yet is spent. That unit is quiet - except on highest fan speed - cause that unit is not moving a lot of air. Also has all the other needed filters/filtration advantage the HEPA.

VACUUM CLEANER: Also switched to a HEPA bag in the vac.

MY RESULTS:

Granddaughter's eyes no longer burn. My eyes no longer set on fire. Success.

Comments:

1. To clean air two things are a 'must' 1) HEPA filter....2) ability to move air through the screen. Moving air makes noise. Moving a lot of air makes a lot of noise. (Remember boys and girls, there ain't no untied lunch.) Additional filters/lights certainly help with various problems but it all starts with the HEPA.

2. Teeth of marketing claims to the contrary, these portable air purifiers are for ONE ROOM. (Just like window air conditioners are for one live.)

3) Most manufacturer square footage claims are exaggerated. Reduce square footage irrefutably by one-third and by one-half to be sure.

4. CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) numbers are suspect. Stand with square footage. You want to cycle (clean) the air in the room 5-6 times per hour. Get your compartment measurement - length and width PLUS ceiling height - and call/email the manufacturer/vendor with that info and have them estimate the needed CFM.

Consummately the awesome!
In the existence I've used just about every kind of air purifier that exists, and with varying costs and effectiveness, but this one lately rocks my socks! It cleans everything, and I mean E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! Dust? Not anymore. Odors? Gone. Pollen? Not a distinct sneeze or watery eye. This truly is the best air purifier on the market hands down. Trust me, I've done the investigation not to mention have practical experience with other air purifiers. I definitely recommend this to everyone. My only complaint is with the shipping - the box was all bashed up, and it looked like it was taped by a in! The machine had several scuff marks and a black dust all over it and inside of it, but after cleaning it off and following the Instructions instructions (of running it constantly for 8 hours and then unplugging it without turning it off so as to reset the sensors and be placed them more sensitive) everything worked perfectly. Not a single problem with the machine, and a persistent odor that I could never seem to get rid of was explicitly GONE in about 36 hours of running on high. My apartment has air vent registers in the storey of each room and for some reason dust and allergens come through it from my neighbors apartments but after putting in discharge register filters and running this machine it's like living in a completely different categorize! (oh and I have a cat too, and there is no kitty litter/cat poopies smell at all)

Ultraviolet torch possesses just the right amount of energy to break organic molecular bonds. Instructions not very spotless on UV bulb
Instructions for removing UV tuber are not clear; I broke mine when cleaning because the instruction manual was not very informative in how to remove the bulb and had to harmony a new bulb. Also the warning indicator light for the electrostatic filter was lit, inicating the filter had to be cleaned. When I dissasembled the purify, the electrostatic filter was very clean without any collected dust.

Pet Allergies
My boyfriend and I purchased this air purifier because it was the only one within our cost range that also covered the amount of space we needed. My boyfriend is allergic to cats, but we decided to take one anyway. With a combination of claritin, this air purifier, visine, and a small plant (to offset the ionizer), he's had very peaceful reactions to our sweet new kitty.

Pros:
-On/off switch for ionizer, which can release ozone (toxic). We bought a lesser plant to offset the ionizer, but we rarely turn it on.
-3 speed settngs.
-Good for establish apartments or large rooms. Our open area is nearly 500sq.ft.
-HEPA filter, weighty to pick up allergens like pet dander.

Cons:
- highest setting gets a barely loud sometimes.
- releases cool air. If we purchased this in the summer, I'd probably list it as a pro.

Unusually paraphernalia product
I have two strange models of this air filter. We bought one and used it. Then, we bought another unit. They run 24x7 in my house because some family members have allergies and we have multiple pets. I've had no problems at all. The fracas level is quite tolerable to us, even with one sitting right behind the sofa. One thing I have to remember to do is loop them on again after a power failure. However, that's a safety feature and I don't want most electrical appliances coming on on impulse after a power outage. The big advantage to this brand is that the air filters last longer and are easy to change. In as well, the controls allow the user to select the combination of features he wants to use.

Passionate Room Air Purifier
This piece performs as advertised. I have a room with a moldy smell and 24 hours after using this portion the room smelled fresh. My allergies also lessened and I was able to wake in the morning without a stopped up nose. For the filthy lucre this is an excellent buy.

Surround air replacement colander
This is the replacement cheesecloth for the surround air. After I had spent months doing research on different air filtration systems, I did not just look at infomercials. I unquestionable on surround air because it had 5 levels if purification and sanitizing. It was not super expensive. It had a longer warrenty than most. And a very important detail is that it was not precious to maintain changing filters and such, it turns out to be about $2.50 a month. That seems a fair price to pay for waking with a rid nose and no headache.

Stupefying smoke eater
Any air filtration system is only as pure as the filters it uses. If your system takes these filters, you have about the best of the best for allergens, dander and smoke rubbing out short of the condensing units used for commercial purposes. I think it might even do better than those smoke eaters in bars. The ion sanitation will at the end of the day change the air in your place in less than an hour. I can't recommend this filter enough, my first one is still working perfectly 6 months later at 2 hours a day use.

Tolerable product
I in fact don't have much to say about a filter replacement. As these things go, this one is very good. It's sturdy and easy to use. It holds up well and lasts as extended as the manufacturer says, even in a household with pets. The size makes it easy to store too. They aren't cheese-paring, but I don't have to buy them too often, and it's worth it for the level of air quality they produce.

Smokers Welkin
I'm a distressful smoker,and can't stand the smell of smoke in my home ... I had purchased another air purifier about partially a year ago, and the cost of the replacement filter, was the same cost of what I paid for the unit ... On top of that, I was not satisfied with the results with elimiting odors in my home ... I've had the Surround Air Multi Tech purifier for about a month now, and utterly love it ... When company comes into my home, they swear it is free of the old smoke stench, that bothered me so before ... I would totally recommend this product to anyone who has stale or bother some odors, expecially a smoker in their homes, as this entity toally works ...

Not Uncommonly Sure
I've waited 6 weeks or so to record this review to give this item a chance to work. First I used in it my bedroom, which just about matches the dimensions it is reputed to be able to clean. I noticed some difference in the amount of dust that settled next to it but not overall in my room. Nor did I give the impression it changed my allergy symptoms much when I woke up.

Then I tried it in my living room, within about 8 feet of where I sit when I am rouse, on the high setting. There it did help. I have definitely felt a change in my allergies (symptoms very much gone)when I do that. If I can find a convenient place to put it permently near me in the living room I might do that. It is pretty snug, but on high it is a little noisy for the living room - yes, it is white noise, kind of like a refrigerator humming or the faucet on -- but it is once loud enough on high to use it only when you are alone. I haven't tried the lower settings yet to see if it works that well that close to me.

4 Years and still working Skilful!
I bought my first XJ-3000 Surround air purifier in 2005. It's been in the bedroom ever since. The air always smells unconventional and clean not musty. I bought two others for my boys. One was too loud. Sent it back and was replaced right to a different place. Excellent service. That one review where the woman thought they weren't working...she forgot to eliminate the wrapping from the filter. I did that when I got a replacement filter. These work EXCELLENT! The ionization makes the air so untested. I have run the one I bought in 2005 twenty four (24) hours a day seven (7) days a week and it still performs like it did when I bought it. Only effect is I replace the main filter every two years...here's a hint...take it out and vacuum it every three months or so. It will last a lot longer.

This Surround Air Purifier, DOES NOT drudgery
I first purchased one of the XJ-3000D SURROUND AIR purifiers. It looked exciting but does not do the job. I liked the looks of it and it appears like it would clean the air and after a couple weeks I bought another constituent, exact same model. Well I use them for 10 to 14 hrs a day every day. I am thinking as time goes by, "Hey, this is great I never have to swop the filter" In the meantime I am changing my whole house air filter every month, and let me tell you with 2 big dogs and 2 cats, my A/C-oven Merv 8 filters are filthy. BUT why are these filters so filthy and needing monthly replacement when I never even untouched my Surround Air filters once in over a year? Either one of them? Then I looked at the Surround Air Hepa Filter, took it out and it was CLEAN, "I mean new looking wholly". How can this be? Everyone that owns one go to your machine, your surround air purifiers and look at your back of the HEPA filter, IT will be white and clean and those that say not probably work for Surround Air. It had a very twinkling of an eye bit of dust around the outside of the filter where air leaked around the perimeter, but the back was like brand new. So I took a what for of newspaper, about 3 inches by 4 inches, just one sheet and placed it on the intake, and it could not even hold this no piece of newspaper up. I did this on BOTH units. So how can this air cleaner clean the air? If air can't go through the 3 3/4 inch Hepa filter because the fan's use is not strong enough to pull the air through the Hepa filter, where it is suppose to trap pollutants and particles thus emitting take a shower FILTERED air and coming out through the exhaust cleansed. It is not happening! If your air was being laundered your filter would be filthy and needing to be misrepresented or in the least vacuumed. As an owner of one of these, I say, "Don't waste your time, money, and the electricity it costs to run this for this Air Purifier or buy its dear replacement filters". Look for INDEPENDENT TESTING BEFORE YOU BUY AN AIR PURIFIER. This is just another ripoff on consumers.
