Had this trend for a couple months now, and it works great. Loud, yes - on medium or high. Solution - we run it when we're at trade, and when we're sleeping upstairs. When we're in the room, it's on low or turned off.
The reduction in dust in our living room is pithy, especially considering the space exceeds the maximum rating for the machine. Cuts down on allergies, old-fogeyish nose, etc - overall works great. You can see from the accumulation on the pre-filter what the machine has saved you from gulp of air in. Well worth the money.

Prominence after living next to a quarry....
I moved out to a condo that is less than 2 miles from a dumbfound quarry in the Azusa CA area. As a result, every time I run the AC, or open a window, nearly everything at is coated in a fine, gritty patina of dust. Lately this has been affecting my sleep the details that I'm waking up with a horrible raspy throat and runny nose. I decided to purchase this maquette for my living room and the Quietcare 17000 for my bedroom to see if I could improve the overall air quality in the condo and also prune my issues that I was having going to sleep. I've had them for about a week now and I have to say the improvement is indeed quite noticeable.
The air feels noticeably fresher and cleaner, I can't actually describe it any other way. The odors from the adjoining kitchen (food, smoke, trashcan, recycling bin, etc) are effectively rapt by this unit and the built-in fan circulates the air quite nicely as well. Sleep at night has also gotten excel as well. I'm no longer waking up at night with a mouth and sinus cavity full of gunk and my throat is not just about as sore as it used to be.
I'd say the only downside is that the "Turbo" and "Home" settings (High and Medium for you and me) are noticeably, well...there's no way to mince words with this...they're freaking snazzy. Particularly Turbo. I'd say you can only really use these settings if you say leave for the day and not have anyone in the immediate vicinity of this device because at those levels the caterwauling is quite overpowering and I doubt anyone could really do anything in the same room as this filter while it's on its maximum fan settings.
Other than the leafblower levels of rumble with its max fan settings, this is a fine HEPA air cleaner for your residence. The 384 sq feet of coverage is fantastic, it in point of fact circulates the air in the room very well, and will allow you to improve the air quality inside your home very nicely. The durable filter and the ability to clean it without outright replacing it is a welcome feature in today's chewy economy.

agreeable product, good price
We purchased the Honeywell 50250 several weeks ago after a equitable amount of research. The filter works as promised. We both noticed great relief from allergies and siesta better too. It is a bit on the noisy side, we have it on low at night, and have gotten used to it. No problems at all.

Like sitting in the front row of a Spinal Tap Performance
We have had a Honeywell HEPA percolate for over 10 years now and we decided to buy another one and put the old one in the garage. The new one pushes a lot of air...but then again, so does Grandpa.
Oh, sure it cleans the air out-and-out in the high setting, but it will chase you out of the room like a visit from your mother-in-law, because its so loud. The low background is tolerable but the humm does get to you after a while. You notice the quiet when you finally shut it off.
We turn the new Honeywell on height at night, medium or low during the day, and low to off in the evenings.

Fanciful - Working perfectly after 3 years
I bought this 3 years ago and have had it plugged in and running almost all the beforehand. It continues to work perfectly. The large circular filter only needs vacuuming every twosome of months and the outer filter you change every three months. It takes an amazing amount of junk out of the air. It sits in my bedroom so it also provides a 'creamy-noise' background that is soothing. This unit is not ultra quiet but that's OK because it cleans the air so well. This unit is the honest deal and not a light weight piece of junk. We love it.

Unconventional air
I have 2 boys and I could never keep there bedroom bathe a exhaust. This thing makes me a believer. It actually makes the air smell pure and fresh. I run it in there scope 24-7. Amazing!

Keeps the air dust-at no cost
We bought this because it wasn't too overpriced and it had good ratings. My husband has allergies, and we live in a dry, dusty city. After a month of using the Honeywell air purifier, my allay checked our household air filters, and there was a drastic improvement. They were much cleaner. I have also noticed a huge dissension in the amount of dust bunnies that gather. We have four dogs, so shedding can be bothersome. However, this air purifier does relief keep the hair out of the air. We sleep with it on high, because we like white noise and it's pretty loud. On low, it is comparable to the even of sound a clothes dryer makes. We love this product!
Contemplation I wouldn't have to dust as much
I bought two of these, one for downstairs and one for upstairs of my accommodate. I have only had them for a month or so, but I don't see a big difference in the dust, though I do know that air is circulating.

Not working after two years?
I've had this section for about 2 years now. A couple of days ago some smoke from my neighbors grill blew in through my windows. I bar them and turned the air purifier on high. Four hours later the room was still full of smoke. I reopened the windows since my neighbor had smooth and the smoke cleared the room soon after.
I have had the unit running round the clock for about 1.5 years, before that I cast-off it sporadically. I really don't know if it ever made a difference or it just stopped working after using it approx two years. I've replaced the carbon screen and vacuumed the main filter as needed.
According to the review of a slightly different likeness (the 50250) at [...]:
"Permanent HEPA filters will need to be replaced eventually, since multiple vacuuming does dilute performance.
Lifetime is a brand name, not a guarantee."
Darnit, now why did I vacuum that thing?? I guess the "lifetime" hepa exclude has reached end of life already??
It does work great as white noise to block out my neighbor's frequently barking dog though. Basically like a loud fan.

Clever but not great.
When I decamp this on I notice a noticeable reduction of visible dust in my room but it doesn't entirely get rid of it all. But hey, at this price consideration, it works... Also, I didn't really notice any reduction of allergies, it seems to only get rid of the dust in my margin.

Stock but not clear about safety of ionizer
The winnow seems to do a good job. It is not nearly as quiet as some reviewers mention, the sound is quite audible at twilight, but not irritatingly so.
The ionizer switch lights up just as much as the built-in "night light." Ionizers are known to father ozone (see Consumer Reports.) The manual says not to use the ionizer if you suffer from asthma. Put all these together and it sounds like the ionizer is not branch safe. I recommend not using the ionizer when the room is occupied, or only for short periods of tempo. If it has been on for an extended period of time, let fresh air into the room before spending some time in the room.

Little Air Cleaner
This shamed air cleaner is best for very small areas. It sits atop my cat's litter box located in the bathroom and does an proper job of controlling litter box odors between changes. It can also be mounted on a wall if you don't have a place for it to sit. Replacement filters are more expensive at $42.00. It's fairly quiet on low and has strong airflow. I think it's a too noisy and too niggardly for the average bedroom. Permanent filter doesn't really mean permanent however. Unchanging filters do become clogged over time and simply must be replaced. It's a decent little unit for very feel put down areas.......recommended!!!!

Queer!
I was skeptical at first before I received this artifact, but I've had it for about a week and the results are already noticeable! I set this in my bedroom (10x10) and I could tell a difference within the first 24 hours. Now, my uninterrupted house is extremely dusty, so this may not be the case for everyone, but I've noticed less dust on my TV and computer already! Also, I cleaned this today because, as I said, my harbour is EXTREMELY dusty, and there I saw so much captured dust I was amazed. :) I would definitely buy this product again, notably since it's cheap for an air purifier with a permanent filter :)!

Quieter than most !
I've had the old Sharper Representative air cleaners, and they are totally quiet. I tried a few other brands and they were very loud, comparably. This unit is the most hush I have found yet, and I do recommend. Noise is an issue with me. This does generate some noise, yet it's very tolerable.

Scraping my marriage
Hubby has sparse allergies to everything and sleep apnea, needless to say he is a horrible snorer. Removing the carpet is not financially feelings right now, we've tried everything for the snoring. Got this product based on reviews and the snoring is 10% of what it was after only 1 week. Some populace might think it's loud, but I love the white noise. We are both sleeping so much better.

Did not ooze smoke
I purchased this output for my mother. She used it once and found that it would not filter cigarette smoke. I returned it to Amazon. The return dispose of was very easy. I expect a full refund soon.

Mouthful of air easier now!
After adopting two cats recently I ready breathing problems due to the dander produced by the cats. My breathing was affected enough that I was prescribed an inhaler.
So I bought two of these units about a month ago and voila!, no more lungful of air problem! One is in the living room, the other the bedroom. I keep them both on when I vacuum to catch anything that gets kicked up by the vacuum's rollers. I vacuum about 3 time a week but when I checked the filters the other day I was pleasantly surprised to see that its catching "stuff". So wearing a tidiness mask, I took the filters outside and using a brush, brushed them clean. I rapture how easy it is to pop out the filters to clean...so, so easy.
As for the noise, the sounds were more noticeable in the beginning but after a month, either I've gotten habituated to to the white noise it creates or it got a bit quieter with constant use...I imagine its a bit of both. It now sounds like a flat fan set on low -- not obtrusive at all.
Admittedly, these compact units are a bit small for the rooms I have but they're doing a big job for me.

Air Purifier works well
As a being with severe allergies, I can tell you this works well to clear the air of the things that will bother you. My previous percolate was an Ion, and I like this much better. The only thing I can see slightly bad is how large it is, but I don't even care about that. It works, and that is all I care about. For the loaded, you will be pleased.
Devotion It
Mate this air purifier. Very little noise....sounds like the low hum of a fan. I have two, one in each of my kids rooms. The hullabaloo the purifier puts out is more like white noise. I think it helps my kids nap better. The only downside to this product is the size and it needing to be 3 ft away from furniture and walls. But, everything else is weighty. Also, really like the fact that it has 3 speeds and has the light that notifies you when the filter needs to be cleaned. Favourably recommend it.

Honeywell Air Purifier
I found it very easy as pie to use and operate! We bought it because of my wife's allergies which were worse this year due to more than average rain fall. We set it up in our bedroom and could smell the difference in the air in our room about two hours after turning it on. We sleep with on every night and my trouble's congestion went away after about four days and hasn't come back since we've had this purifier. Is it a coincidence? We regard as it's the air purifier that makes the difference. This air purifier has three speeds, the higher the speed, the higher the blooming which isn't bad at all.

We bought this after reading the reviews, and it is what we were looking for. Very placid, and works great. My husband breathes so much better since we got it, it makes a great difference. I advisable this to anyone with allergies and asthma.

It says it only fits a (13X13) cell .. the room I want to use this for is a school classroom that is atleast 20X20. If i put this purifier in a whiteheads i believe the air is at its worse, will it work for a 13X13 area from that point up or does this product become completely useless when its in a room any larger then (13X13).
Also, i am difficult to find an air purifier in the $100-$150 for a larger sized room, so if you have other proposal please list

I impartial bought a Honeywell Air Purifier off of craigslist.com. It works fine but gives off a shrewd smell of the house where I bought it from. It bothers me! The ads online for the air purifier say you don't renew the filters but merely wash them. How do I do so? Just run them under water?
Run the HEPA trickle under warm running water and allow to dry preferably where it can get air from both sides of cloth, do not dry in direct sunlight this can damage the filter, it is best in a heated room, can be dried in a dishdrainer if possible this way it gets air from both sides and will dry sybaritically without promoting mold/mildew Good Luck !

I have a HEPA air run. It has a button on it, which turns on the optional "ionizer" peculiarity. The system is made by Honeywell (actually a company called Kaz, which sells it under the Honeywell name.)
Any information on the constructive effects of having "negative ions" in the air?
Ionize means to send safe low electrical emissions into the atmosphere. Lightning is mother natures ionizer.
Its a annulling electrical charge that causes inert particles to chains. For example, lightning causes water droplets to cement to dust particles in the atmosphere as well as other water droplets so that it gets laden enough for rain fall.
That's why lightning always precedes a heavy shower fall.
Same thing with your HEPA filter. The ionizer makes dust particles cohere, get heavy and fall to the ground or gather in your filter more rapidly.
Some people sell professional ionizers for indoor atriums, because of bird dander. It helps the airy stuff in the air settle to the ground.
