Aprilaire 5000 whole lineage filter
Purchased these for each of my furnaces 2 years ago and have been very over the moon. It cleared up the allergens in my house air totally. Previous issues with allergies have disappeared.
The only probleme I have had is that the electronics fails to beat back b go back on-which you need for the electrostatic filter to work at its 90% effecincy, otherwise it is only 80%. Appears that the electronics is very susceptible to the trickle door being not properly seated, so must be careful when replacing door after a filter change.
Filters are readily procured via internet at $60/for two and they last for a full year
Highly recommend this filter-it works as advertised.

Intact garbage~!! April Aire products are total disasters
I purchased two whole blood dehumidifiers from April Air and one whole house humidifier.
In a matter of two years all three units failed.
The whole lodgings humidifier failed when the solenoid seized and flooded my basement.
The smaller unit was prepared with a cheap Mexican made capacitor that burst, leaking oil all over the circuit board.
The capacitor was so superficially made that it did not even have the microfarad and voltages inked onto it and April Air tech was unable to even guess at a replacement. I was on my own.
The larger part (model 1720) broke twice. The first time the fan motor failed. This is a unique fan shop with the motor and stator integral with the squirrel cage blower, whose design was so odd that no motor restore company would touch it. April Air wanted over $700.00 for a lousy replacement bower fan.
I sourced it from Newark for a teeny-weeny over $200.00. So thanks to April Air engineers and their fancy pants blower fan it was impossible to substitute anything else.
The marred time it failed the compressor pump seized. I called April Air and the only thing I could get out of their tech population was the statement that "The compressor seized?" posed as a question. That was it. He wouldn't venture any more.
Those population are worst than worthless. Their products are pure trash.
They treat you like you have three heads when you call them. They declare an active distaste for homeowners, a contempt that they don't even try to hide.
April Air products are the single worst manufactured products I have ever had the despondency to own.
