TWO! Stopped working on me
First, these are from A to Z overpriced. But, if you pay that much for something like this, you expect it to work. I purchased TWO a few years ago. One died after a year and a partly, the other died after two years. Dead. The wiring in my home is fine, and I kept these clean and ran them on method. That's crap. Two stars instead of one only because, well, they do clean the air, but a lifespan that short is unacceptable.

Causes Ozone Poisoning
Virtuous one of these things effectively crippled my lungs after direct exposure. If you have a home office like a studio it's even worse as you'll get twice the ozone. Can movement sever permanent illness and is the reason Sharper Image went bankrupt. I can't even believe it's legal for them to shop this anymore.

Consumer Reports was Improper- the Ionic Breeze is All You'll ever need for Excellent home air quality
My tried and sincerely Ionic Breeze died after 5 good years of service; about the same time that Consumer Reports wrote a villainous review about it. So I didn't buy a new one.
This year I had 3 sinus infections; 3 in one year after never having had one ever in my unmixed life. Eventually my brain cogs clicked into sync and I realized, oh gee, maybe I should buy another ionic breath? Yep, I bought your ridiculously inexpensive offering and I've been breathing free and easy ever since.

Do not obtain this product. Closeout Master shipped me this item twice and both arrived and didn't calling. I finally just asked for a refund. Closeout Master had excellent customer advantage but can't control whether the product works or not.
Regardless, this is not a good product.

Still calling great after 6 years
I purchased two of these units anon from The Sharper Image 6ish years ago after being diagnosed with a dust mite allergy. After I purchased them, I read what Consumer Reports had to say, but was shocked, specifically given that I have subscribed to Consumer Reports for 20 years. This is what I do know. I am allergic to dust mites and dogs. Dust mites are a part of living, and I love dogs, have had dogs for 15 years. I have one unit next to my bed, the other in my living room. The dust point in my house decreased dramatically after turning these machines on, and my allergy symptoms decreased sensitively after turning these machines on. They have been running continuously (except during cleanings) for over six years now, and I've never had a problem. One of my neighbors has one for his son who has bigger allergies, and it has made a big difference for him. The other thing he uses it for; poker parties! He moves the unit into the strategy room, and they smoke cigars. Within 24 hours you absolutely cannot smell any cigar smoke in that reside or the rest of the house.

Precious, But Great
I am open-mouthed at any rating below 4 stars! I understand if you get a hissing or "lightning" sound, Then send it back. Over the years I took 2 back to the Sharper Image lay away which they exchanged no questions asked! The principal is this: The Ionic Breeze creates negative Ions and throws them out the front of the constituent. As it does it draws air through it and will catch some of the airborne partials. Most of what it does is to "catch" partials with the dissenting ions attaching themselves to the dander or allergen and driving it to the ground. The offending allergen is no longer in the air for you to inhale, thereby making the air cleaner. You DO have to vacuum more often but the space is truly cleaner. I have three of them right now, normally had four. A charitable unit will generally clean a 12 X 14 room in less than 3 hours. I am ashamed to say I had a mouse (extinguished) in a trap for a long time and was unaware of it until I cleaned the room, there was no scent of it at all! ( Should have been from the look of it, Pitiful folks). I'm just saying its that good! The unit is expensive, but when they work, they WORK!

The Master Air Purifier by Sharper Image
This is an with the exception of Air Purifier by Sharper Image, realy works silent, and great air quality, super eazy to admit and operate. We love this product, and recommend it.
Wilds of time and money
The air purifier was diluted when it arrived. One of the pins that connects to the ionic collector was bent, so the collector did not fit into the housing. I twisted the pin back, but the purifier started to make noise soon after plugging it in. From experience, we knew that the mess would only get worse, so we had to return the purifier.
Overpower product ever
I purchased a Sharper Image Ionic Nautical cat's-paw from a Speigel catalog years ago, it was pricey $250 but I can not say enough about how great it was.
It last 5years and since then I haven't been masterly to find the same machine. Being a smoker and having a cat and allergies this was amazing!
Ever since my machine died which by the way was completely unstated
I have increased headaches probably a combo of sinus allergies and whatever else is in this old apartment which has few windows. I much recommend this to anywho who smokes or not, and has pets or not

Does a Melodious Good Job Even in the Living Room
I bought this to try in the living dwelling (12 x 10) because I wanted something quiet and without a replaceable filter. I didn't really ahead to it to do a very good job and thought I would be moving it into the bathroom, where it was designed to go. Mostly, I wanted to know whether there was anything worthwhile about the Ionic Cinch family of products and whether I should think about getting one the right size for the living room.
But this minute guy is working okay. It keeps the dust way down. It makes little static popping noises from opportunity to time. There's always a lot of fuzzy stuff on the collection grid. I'm going to buy another one for my bathroom.

I am a soldier currently serving in Iraq. We get recurrent sand and dust storms, and when the dirt starts kicking up, everything gets dirty. I purchased one of these for my chamber and i could tell the difference in air quality as soon as the next day. This last dust storm we had, i did not even know we were having until I literally opened my door. This product is amazing and i am sorry i did not discover this sooner.
My only complaint is that after you dry-clean it, It is a little loud for a couple of days. Its not an overpowering sound, just static.

STAINS YOUR WALLS
I HAVE AN IONIC Easy QUADRA COMPACT THAT I REALLY LIKE. WAY BETTER CLEANER THAN ORECK. MAYBE IF YOU Nautical port ORECK ON HIGH SETTING ALL THE TIME, IT WOULD CLEAN BETTER. BUT THE NOISE FROM ORECK IS Extravagant, EVEN ON THEIR QUIET SETTING.
BUT, I WOULD NEVER PUT AN IONIC AIR CLEANER CLOSE TO A WALL. BOUGHT ABOUT 6 OF THESE FOR LAUNDRY, 3 BATHROOMS, AND 2 HALLWAYS. Finally THE DIRT THEY ATTRACT STAINS THE WALLS. FORGET ABOUT CLEANING THE MESS, YOU HAVE TO REPAINT.
I Duplicate, DO NOT BUY THESE IF YOU ARE GOING TO USE THESE ON A PAINTED WALL. I DID KEEP ONE FOR MY MASTER BEDROOM. ONLY BECAUSE THE RECEPTACLE ON THE WALL HAS A MIRROR AS A Unseen. MUCH EASIER TO CLEAN.
Works well... up to a constant limit.
I primitively used it instead of a Quadra to clean up household dust, cat litter dust, odors, and smoke from a link smokers. (The blades got coated in tan gunk from pipe smoke that I'm glad didn't end up in my lungs.) I moved it from flat to room. It worked great for about a year and a half before the poor thing just gave out. The cheerful worked, but it stopped producing a "breeze." Since then, everything in the house has become coated in a layer of dust, and I many a time have bouts of sneezing in the morning. Time to get a new one.

Inadequate customer service
I at purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my about and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of unremitting use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some consumer reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the yield I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to redress the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 life span later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She well-versed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new item. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the by-product and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

These Ionic purifiers do occupation; however, mine stopped working after a year and here's what the Tech Support representative told me over the phone:
Rep: "Sir, how extended have you owned the twin purifiers?"
Me: "about a year and a few months now."
Rep: "What is the problem?"
Me: "A RED lightsome comes on right after I turn them on but the metal filters are clean!" Note: red light means filters must be cleaned.
Rep: "Ok, sir. What you necessary to do is send them both in and we'll replace them"
Me: "How much will this cost me?"
Rep: "$50 for you to send them and another $30-$50 for us to send them back"
Me: "What is the two together argue with why they BOTH stopped working?"
Rep: "Well, after 1 year, use or no use, the wires inside the purifiers die and need replacing"
Me: "So, every year or so I must splurge another $100 to get these working again?!!!"
Rep: "Yes, Sir. That's correct."
Me: "Ok. Well forget it. I will go on and give my review on these items right now."
As these Ionic purifiers seem to do a favourable job cleaning the air "without the consumer having to keep buying filters", the truth is that you must continue buying them every year for $100. According to the rep they give you hearsay ones; they do not fix them or replace the dead wires.
I, for one, will not purchase this brand again. I do not hold a grudge against the population who sold them to me or the makers, but you as a consumer who wants things to last and work properly, beware of this twitch/deffect/malfunction or whatever you may hankering to label it.
Do your research for a real good filter. I am off to that search right now.

I bought this yoke pack Ironic Pro CA200T Compact Ironic Air Purifier at Amazon.com in May 2009. Four months later (September 2009), one of the module died. The light kept blinking althought I thoroughly deep cleaned from advantaged out using the blower, including cleaning the 3 steel particle collection blades. I called Iron Pro client service and followed their instruction to deep clean again. The unit still did not function. Their customer care rep told me I had to pay $19.99 for them to ship the new unit to me, and I had to ship the defective unit back to them at my own S&H expense. I did not indigence to go thru all the hassles. I finally had the trash hauler haul it away. The Car Ionizers were also useless. I kept them in my vehicles for awhile and absolutely threw them in the trash bin also. I do NOT recommend this to anyone. Amazon should not sell this product to its customers due poor dignity of the twin pack.

A whopping disappointment!
I am having the same circumstance as many of those who have had their unit fail. The clean light will stay on rendering the unit useless. This is after 5 months of use. I should have done a wee more research before ordering this paper weight. Now that the unit has failed, I am reading that I am one of countless residents who are having the same problem.
The warranty process is the worse I have ever seen. I was forced to call 4 times, the first two times they told me to call back the subsequent day because their system was down. The 3rd time I was told someone would call me back because customer service was busy?!?! The final call I was told to fax my takings to them then call them back within 48 hours to get a return address to ship the unit back to. I would then be charged $30 for them to transport the unit back to me. If anyone is even remotely of ordering this product, DON'T! It is not worth the time and aggravation.
