Frightening Waste.
When we got this set, I loved it, and while it worked, it worked top. Both my son and I have horrible allergies and this kept us from suffering.
HOWEVER!! About 1 year after I dished out the $175 I paid for these units, one stopped working. I called chap support, who told me a replacement would be no problem, but tech support would have to call me back. Tech Support called a few hours later and was very heavily Indian accented, I had a stern time understanding, but after doing what he suggested, the unit still wasn't working so I called the uninhibited number he gave me. He told me I needed to buy the extended warranty (2 more years) for $30. At first I mental activity this was great, until he told me then it would be $30 for them to send the unit back to me, after I paid to ship the unit to them... That means I would fork out $90 on one unit to get it "fixed"! It was insane to me.
The other unit followed suit and died a few months later.
Please protect your money and don't get this unit. It won't last.

A- value for the money...
We contemporary in an older building, which means we have mold. After the air conditioning system clogged and spilled water down the walls, we ordered this set. The box arrived withing four days of ordering. I think that is very prompt service.
The Ionic Pro Air Purifiers have reduced the dust, lint (in the sewing dwelling) and odor in the apartment. The units are easy to clean, though we will be buying spare fins before Winter. They are so mild, and do not interfere with sleep, conversations, or listening to TV or radio. The nicest asset is the lack of the antiquated, mildewed "aroma" we smelled every time we came in from the outdoors.
The bonus car ionizers do work, but we suggest with windows down, so can't give an accurate assessment of their abilities. I would (and have) recommended this product to friends and family who have allergy-cognate problems.

Ahhhhh I can beauty sleep!!!!
Having Subtle clean air in my room.. My daughter sleeps better, and WOW!!! I can't remember the last time I have slept so paraphernalia in my room. Im Impressed!!! However.. DO NOT LET THE "free car ionizers" sell you on this. They DO NOT WORK at ALL!!!!! Ohh sure its a very winsome blue light in your vehicle, but there is NOTHING that comes out of the car version is worth it... I've yet to smell ANY contrast at ALL in either of my vehicles.. NOT WORTH IT!!

Unacceptable customer service
I in purchased this product 3 years ago from WalMart. I loved the product and had no problems with it. I had a problem with pet odors in my institution and after using the product the odors were gone! It was easy to use and easy to clean. After about 3 years of ceaseless use, the product broke down. I recently purchased the product from Amazon in this 2 pack. I read some guy reviews that were unhappy with the customer service, but since I hadn't had any problems with the product, I ignored them. When I received the yield I opened it immediately and plugged them both in. One worked perfrectly, the other was defective. By the time I went to replacement the product, it was too late to return to Amazon, so I needed to contact the manufacturer. I called them and they said they would call me back. They never did. A few weeks later, I tried again. Then said they would call be back, but again 2 time later I had not heard from them. I called a third time and spoke with a woman that did not speak very good english. She briefed me that I would have to mail it to them at my cost and keep track of the shipping number. When the product arrived there I was to call them back and let them know that THEY had received it. Then I would be charged $29.95 to send me a new module. So, I spent approximately $100 for a defective unit and would have to pay around $60 to get a new one sent to me. Needless to say, I am not returning the goods and I will not be purchasing a replacement from this company. Buyer beware!

Odd bouquet
I bought the mini ionic air purifier for my section. I have dust allergies and thought it would help. Unfortunately it emits an unpleasant, metallic odor. I feel it may be the ozone which other reviewers have mentioned. This odor gives me a headache and makes me feel ill. I have stopped using the mini air purifier and would not approve purchase of it. I am now considering getting a more traditional air purifier which has a filter.

Conviction this product works
Amazon.com does not lend the dimention of products, so I was surprized that this product was so small. It makes noise when being on for a long just the same from time to time and that's a little scary. It's hard to tell if it works but I hope it does.

I can live!!
I put this in my bedroom and its wonderful! You do have to dry-clean about every week or so but its so worth it. For me, I know I have to clean it when it starts becoming 'noisy'. I cannot breathe at night without this subject plugged into the wall. This product is made for a closet but its perfect for a small closed in room. A must have. Would to be sure purchase the larger one for the whole house.

influential cat box odor remover
I bought this for my cat boxes. I find this component works amazingly well. I notice an odd smell it seems to give off however, it effectively takes away that 'fresh' cat poo pong which is 100% wonderful. If I should find use for another one, I would not hesiate to buy this unit again.
Makes a Nature
I voyage a lot and have two cats. My wife complained constantly of the smell even with the (various) odor absorbing cat ends(s) and electric autoscoop box. I can't say that odors are COMPLETELY gone but MUCH better especially when the box goes for some life without changing. The proof is my wife has stopped complaining. What could be more compelling? Would recommend for this application without give someone the third degree. Likely good for other odor problems as well but no direct experience. Low cost makes compelling the plunge a pretty low risk.

i bought this with the hopes of dell the bedroom air of allergens that keep my nose constantly clogged up. this unit did not help my allergies but it does take odors out of the air and is very still.

Runs in silence and does a great job
I exceedingly like this machine. I have been running it for a few weeks. It runs so quietly. It detects odors before I can and starts organization the air. I think this was a good purchase.

Mark as promised
This trickle is quiet and efficient. I was concerned about the reviews that mentioned how loud the unit was. I find it very quiet. Set on coupй it stays on quiet mode. When it detects an odor or poor air quality it kicks up the power, all things considered only to low or medium, handles the problem air quality and then kicks right back down to quiet mode.

MY PROBLEM:
Six year Granddaughter's eyes would begin to light after her being here 1-2 hours. My eyes also burned some.
I have three dogs and (my steel trap mind) directly suspected pet dander.
MY SOLUTION:
I have a small entry foyer with a doggie door through the furor door leading outside and a doggie door through the main door into my home. I bought a Encompass Air S3500 for that small area because that unit moves about twice as much air (CFM) as the XJ3800 and will capture heavier contaminantes such as pet plaits. The higher (CFM) air movement of the S3500 creates more noise but I don't care as that noise is outside earshot.
Hem in AIR XJ3800.....put the XJ3800 in the den where most (waking) time is spent. That unit is quiet - except on highest fan facilitate - cause that unit is not moving a lot of air. Also has all the other needed filters/filtration plus the HEPA.
VACUUM CLEANER: Also switched to a HEPA bag in the vac.
MY RESULTS:
Granddaughter's eyes no longer kindle. My eyes no longer burn. Success.
1. To clean air two things are a 'must' 1) HEPA weed out....2) ability to move air through the filter. Moving air makes noise. Moving a lot of air makes a lot of fracas. (Remember boys and girls, there ain't no free lunch.) Additional filters/lights indisputably help with various problems but it all starts with the HEPA.
2. Despite marketing claims to the oppositely, these portable air purifiers are for ONE ROOM. (Just like window air conditioners are for one allowance.)
3) Most manufacturer square footage claims are exaggerated. Reduce square footage undoubtedly by one-third and by one-half to be sure.
4. CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) numbers are suspect. Continue with square footage. You want to cycle (clean) the air in the room 5-6 times per hour. Get your leeway measurement - length and width PLUS ceiling height - and call/email the manufacturer/vendor with that info and have them work out the needed CFM.

Perfectly the awesome!
In the years I've used just about every kind of air purifier that exists, and with varying costs and effectiveness, but this one reasonable rocks my socks! It cleans everything, and I mean E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G! Dust? Not anymore. Odors? Gone. Pollen? Not a take sneeze or watery eye. This truly is the best air purifier on the market hands down. Trust me, I've done the up on not to mention have practical experience with other air purifiers. I definitely recommend this to everyone. My only complaint is with the shipping - the box was all bashed up, and it looked like it was taped by a fiddle about! The machine had several scuff marks and a black dust all over it and inside of it, but after cleaning it off and following the Directions instructions (of running it constantly for 8 hours and then unplugging it without turning it off so as to reset the sensors and on them more sensitive) everything worked perfectly. Not a single problem with the machine, and a persistent odor that I could never seem to get rid of was branch GONE in about 36 hours of running on high. My apartment has air vent registers in the lower limit of each room and for some reason dust and allergens come through it from my neighbors apartments but after putting in slot register filters and running this machine it's like living in a completely different spot! (oh and I have a cat too, and there is no kitty litter/cat poopies smell at all)

Euphemistic pre-owned in mold infested apartment
There is deep down no good way to monitor the effectiveness of the unit. I had it for about a couple years and used it in our bedroom. When we moved into an space, we were having severe allergy attacks, trouble breathing, headaches, and other troubles. We found toadstool on the wall. You could actually see the mold that collected on the ionic pro rods. So, it definately collected some dust particles. However, there was not many, it was only on one side. I was joyful that at least those particles did not go into our lungs. Perhaps it was better than nothing. The fact remains that we still suffered. I do not know if anything would have worked due to the scope of the mold. When the mold remediation team came, the owner recommended the honeywell purifier. He told me that the honeywell has medically and scientifically documented findings, whereas the ionic pro does not. He told me that the honeywell was like to the several thousand dollar machine he used to clean our apt. except on a small scale. We have better healthiness now that we moved, and maybe the honeywell has something to do with it. The honeywell collects insane amounts of dust like ive never seen. It also collects and expells in 360 degrees opposed to the ionic pro doing it all ine only one cramped direction. The honeywell is extremely powerful. I would recommend the honeywell for $160.00 on Amazon.com or townswoman homebuilding store like Lowes based on the info and studies of evidence. If the ionic pro ever has documented findings, and hold up of what it can do, then we could better compare the two.

This air purifier is the same humanitarian that I have in my bedroom but this one makes an annoying small noise when the purifier goes on.
Suitable but...
Yes it works and yes you will doze better. But it isn't easy to clean and mine broke down after about 2 years. I kept it on all day every day, so perhaps 2 years is all you can expect.
Stoppage AWAY!!!
I bought the match pack in May. One is still working while the other died 2 months ago. I have spent the better part of the past 2 months irritating to get it replaced under warranty. Everytime I call, one of three scenarios plays out:
1) All customer service reps (in India) are working. Someone (US) takes my number to call me back, but they never do.
2) Once I get a rep on the line, they either intentionally or accidently hang up on me. Has happened more than 10 times!
3) Call and get the instinctive system which hangs up on me.
I would recommend you trying to call them with a warranty request and see how far you get. This is the WORST COMPANY I have ever dealt with. My only reckon as to why they operate this way is to make me fed up and quit trying to get the defective unit replaced or drag it on background the one year warranty period. I would recommend NEVER buying anything from this terrible company.

Do not ice your money...horrible customer service.
I have never written a examination before, but feel compelled to do so after my bad experience with this company. I bought three units from Amazon about 2 years ago. Disinterestedly, I am not sure if the units really work but the reason I am giving it a 1 star review is because of the dialogue I just had with their customer service department. The woman didn't try to make suggestions as to why the red unsullied light came on; instead she told me I needed to purchase a $29.95 extended guarantee for each of the two units AND pay $29.95 for each to be returned. No apologies; no standing behind the product. Just more money. I was fuming and told her I would be writing a negative review on Amazon. Her response, was thank you very much. Ridiculous. Do not buy these machines. I order I never did.

Don't lavishness your money!!
I bought this issue as part of a 3 pack that included the large, compact, and auto purifier. The larger unit died about 6 months after I bought it and now the brief size will not run. I cleaned both of them and that's when the problems started. After cleaning the compact unit it will not turn on without post-haste turning on the clean lite and shutting down. The larger unit had a similar reaction to being cleaned. I replaced the larger one with a Rabbit Air HEPA purify and it is much better to maintain and I think it actually does something in the room. All the Ionic pro did was waste my money! Find something else!

Accurate product, BUT buy a 3m filtrete air purifier instead!
First of all, this is a outgoing product, but mine stopped working about 6 months of owning one, very disapointed I like the fact that there is no strainer to replace, all you need to do is clean the blades everytime it gets dirty, but I am still not 100% stable if it is really filtering or just collect some of the dust that blows through and get stuck onto the blades, also I do not like the in point of fact that it releases ozone.. O3, instead of O2 which is oxygen. It shouldn't be harmful but its a bit unsettling to know. I give this matter 2 stars because it failed on me after 6 months, i took care of it and cleaned it often, maybe I got a lemon because it seems like no one else had that problem.
I favour the 3M products instead. Ionic pro is nice and slick, but its so nice that its too good to be true, the 3M air purifier is simply straight forward and you know its doing a better job filtering than the Ionic pro. It would be nice if all the air purifiers had did not have filters to succeed so we could all save a lot of money in the long run, but the fact is, you pay for the replacement filters so that you get what you pay for, it will do the job of truly purifiying the air in place of of the fancy smancy gimmicky blades that you clean from the ionic pro. To me the ionic pro is a trying to be wanabe imitation foreign technology that doesnt really work all the way 100%. The 3M products definitely work 100% all the way and I would patently spend more money on real performance. If a product does not perform to the best of its sphere, to me it is just a waste of money. Also it is your health, there is no price for your health, being healthy is worth spending the especially bucks, buy the 3M products instead!
Ionic pro is cool, and it does work, but not as well as the 3M air purifiers. Maybe in 50 years in the tomorrow's there will have technology good enough to truly make an air purifier that does not need a filter replacement, until then, you have the ionic pro which is a wanabe phoney "alien technology" that does not truly work to its full potential. Also in the future, the hopefully can cause the ionic pro not release ozone (O3), and release oxygen (O2) which is what we humans would rather breathe.
I sweet the way this makes the room smell!
I scan a bunch of reviews and finally decided on this model. I have never used an ionizer before and I love it!! I sweetie the way the room smells when it is on- it's like fresh mountain air! I also like how I can see all of the dust collected on the blades. It in reality shows me that it is doing the job it is supposed to- taking dust out of the air. I highly recommend this product regularly to my friends.

Buy At Your Own Hazard
The Ozone this item puts out is Harmful for children and states this in the instructions. it doesn't clean the air I returned this detail the day i got it and had problems shipping back the other one. If i could give it no stars I would.
