Important A/C, Truly powerful
I have bought two of these units for my travail, and they are currently pumping away full blast in the hot New York summer. They are most likely close to their rated BTU/hr (10,000 for the older ones, 12k for the known model). They are keeping close to 2,000 square feet (with 14' ceilings) coolth as I write this.

On their third summer of use, I really have nothing bad to say about these units, so here is the good stuff:

*The remote is RF, so it works through walls, and snaps nicely on the top of the element.
*Powerful cooling, unlike a lot of other portable units that don't even come close to their rating.
*Dual vessel system might seem awkward, but using fresh air across the condenser coil improves efficiency and power.
*Condensate is vented through the fritter away, unless you turn on de-humidify mode, in which case you can hook up a hose or empty the tank.
*Options of HAF/Charcoal refine which is easy to install.
*Solid Japanese construction.
*Really good quality hoses that be the case their shape when you bend them.
*Nice PVC window mount system with grates and caps included.

In the burg these ran around $600-$700, they are currently $449 direct from Toyotomi.

Would definitely recommend as the best portable AC after a lot of delve into.

Satisfactory product, rude support
The greatest person you call for support was extremely rude with me, when I explained that the remote I got didn't work. All he said was a "tech guy" would call later. When I called back several hours later, he completely hung up on me. Right after that, the technician finally called to gather the data necessary to send me a working far-removed.

I cannot review the function of the unit, because the remote controls everything. All I can report is that this unit is beautifully made, the consummate is similar to a nice refrigerator. The window kit is also extremely easy to use. I think this unit will last a very extended time, it is very heavy and made of quality components.

EDIT: After using this for a few weeks, I have to say it does travail extremely well. Despite the fact that it does use more electricity, cold air comes out of the vent within seconds of the compressor kicking in. Other units I have reach-me-down, took up to five minutes before you got cold air. Lots of electricity wasted there. This unit has dual fans, one for the blower and another one to intake and gas air. This helps keep the unit right at the optimal operating temperature. Dual hose units are far more economic because they don't rely on stale room air, they take in fresh outside air, cool it and exhaust it. This unit puts out the coldest air I've felt from any vest-pocket.

My only complaint, it can trip the breaker on my power strip, when combined with an air purifier. You will need to be knowing that this unit uses 10.5 amp, even more than that to start up.
